If the already "Very positive" reviews haven't convinced you to play Yakuza 0, then you are missing out on a game that is nothing less than a masterpiece.

Pros:
  • A ton of side activities - Yakuza 0 offers up a plethora of minigames and side missions you can accomplish. Most of these activities are comedic, which is a huge change of pace to the main story, which actually adds up to the humor. You can go to a karaoke bar and jam to an 80s rock song with your bro-kuza, have a dance battle with Michael Jackson in a discotheque, beat up children in toy car racing, or even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ watch porn. The sheer amount of activities available is perfect for someone like me, who can't keep his focus on one thing.
  • In-depth battle system - The combat in this game is very simple yet very satisfying (especially in legend difficulty). There are two playable characters who each have 3 unique "battle styles" plus one secret style for each character. There's one style that's focused on dodges and fast-paced punches, another style uses breakdancing to beat the living daylights out of people. Each style has its own skill tree too, and investing in it can be really rewarding.
  • An astounding plot - Both the chronicles of Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima's adventure is bewildering. At times while playing the game, I get very engrossed in the narrative that I let my emotions get the better of me. The characters present in Yakuza 0 are all very unique and unforgettable, the relationships forged between the characters are also very well-built that you can't help but support them ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MAJIMA AND MAKOTO, MAN I CRY EVRITIME GODAMMIT.

Cons:
  • Clunky keyboard controls - I don't know if it's just me, but the controls for keyboard & mouse is the biggest (and only) problem I have with Yakuza 0. You walk with WASD and move the camera with the mouse but you guard with the up key. Like wtf??? Luckily (like most other games), the controls are configurable, but I really cannot see me playing this with a keyboard & mouse. The game even says that "real yakuza uses gamepads", so yeah heed the game and use a gamepad instead of the keyboard. But playing the game will be a royal pain in the ass whenever my gamepad isn't available, though.

Conclusion
Yakuza 0 gets a 9/10 score from me for its ability to naturally blend emotionally powerful cutscenes and absurdly humorous minigames together to create the perfect cup of coffee for me. The bosses are quite challenging too, which is always a huge plus in my book. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone, whether they're a veteran or a newcomer to the series.
(P.S. my playtime is low cuz I already played this game in the ps4 for 100+ hours)
