Throw everything what was great on BF over board and try to copy CoD, Overwatch, Fortnite... and you get BF 2042 in addition with uncountable number of bugs and terrible design choices. BF had always an edge but they lost it.

R. I. P. Battlefield. I was a big fan once.

Battlefield 1 first of all comes with a special concept to tell a story about WW1. I think they did this so good. I really enjoyed the campaign. I mean they had variations of missions, so there wasn't just dirty trenches. We had tanks, planes, variations of locations around the world. It had such interesting war stories, and although it was so short dice managed to build up the characters enough. The stories are emotional and beautiful, every war story also brings a message. And from a historical view they made a great job. They made it so cinematic and that's a good thing! Oh and the look of the game. Battlefield looks clean, the structure, the weapon, characters especially in cutscenes.

For the first time I've actually spent much time in multiplayer with this game. I loved everything with it. This was a fresh start and a new point of view after Battlefield 4. One of the greater games in the Battlefield franchise or maybe even in this genre.

Battlefield V offers an enjoyable experience but falls short in its storytelling. Unlike Battlefield 1's impactful war stories, this installment splits its narrative into five separate tales, which feel less engaging. The multiplayer mode is fun but hampered by poor map design, with Twisted Steel standing out as the only map that truly delivers a great experience.

Despite its rocky launch back in 2018, the game has improved over time and is now decent overall. It explores lesser-known battles and provides detailed historical context for the weapons you use, adding an educational layer. The advanced movement system introduces a fresh mechanic not seen in previous Battlefield titles. However, the game feels somewhat generic and uninspired, as another World War II game wasn't particularly needed. While the game can be cinematic and fun, it might not appeal to everyone.
