If you like Ark or Pokemon this game takes the same concept and runs with it all within a package that prioritizes performance over appearance. For 25 bucks its a bargain. Not to leave the bugs and glitches unaddressed I haven't found them problematic. This was a smooth experience right from the start. One second I'm downloading the game with my brother and within 10 minutes the basics were already figured out.

The Devs have done a lot of work over the few months since the games release to make the game better and it shows when compared to earlier updates to the game, its being updated frequently and the experience is just getting better and better with each update. I would absolutely recommend ARK to someone in 3 months but to someone who came to this page and is seeing this review as a returning player of ARK all I have to say is that you already know what you are signing up to, it's ARK for gods sake, and for the sake of humor, don't tell the newbies.

While I do find Arc to be a very enjoyable game to play with your buddies when you have a private server that is tailored to your specific situations, (time constraints whether that be the amount of time that you have or when you can get on, etc.) the game itself is designed in such a way that it will consume parts of your life if you don't set hard limits and adjust the games base parameters in such a way that you can play it without devoting an extraordinary amount of time to the game. Hence why I don't believe people should get the game. The game itself is very enjoyable and fun, but not something for those who can't manage it with the rest of their lives.

Mind you, I have more than 250 hours in-game, I just played the game over multiple accounts.

Would I recommend playing the game? Sure, if you want a fun time defending against hordes of monsters with a group of friends, hell yeah. If what your looking for is a semi challenging game that puts you and your friends up against a bunch of enemies through a campaign, something that can be done when you first start the game then by all means if you don't mind the fact that it is old then go ahead and get the game.
