10 years later and this is still one of the greatest games every made.

If you skip all the cut scenes and mute the dialogue the game is a blast.

I'm not sure if I would recommend playing this game or not.

Most servers seem dead so it has become a choice of competing for resources and having an active server or running around on empty servers with low enough player counts that group area for main quests are nearly impossible to complete. Early game is pretty well done but mid game seems to be grinding to simply pay taxes on a house. The quick teleport system is locked behind a currency that ends with a max stack THEN runs completely out forcing you to walk everywhere once you start doing something new. Unsure how endgame works since my playtime now is grinding for gold to pay for my taxes and I can't find enough people to run a dungeon for the main quest.

Game should at least get you a solid 50-100 hours of relatively fun content before you end up in an endless loop of copy and paste content which I'd say is a good amount of time for a $40 game.

Bought on sale years ago, didn't install until recently due to the negative stigma the game had on release. Finally installed and the game is great. Runs well, hits that internal desire to explore we all have, always something to do or find.

Loved the game so much I bought a second copy for my PC. This game is an absolute time killer. You can make a sandwich, eat it, do the dishes and change out of your work clothes in the time it takes to load but it is always worth it.

Fun to solo and a great ton of fun to play in a squad of friends. Game can be extremely frustrating and some games are running to keep into the circle with a pisol, crowbar or single granade only to be ran over or shot from afar. The first 5-10 games are nearly impossible to play as there is not much to do to get use to the games other than being thrown into firefights which are often lost due to mechanics being kind of unknown. For $30 it is not a bad game.
