So, i haven't played too much of the game so far, but what i can tell you about biomutant from what i've played so far is that it looks incredible, the world is quirky and bright, and the soundtrack is great.

I have restarted 3 times already to try different classes and from what i have tried so far each one has a different playstyle, the different perks you can unlock is vast and i can imagine it enables alot of freedom with creating character builds.

The story so far doesn't exactly re invent the wheel but it is engaging from what i have experienced in my little time with the game so far. Yeah sure the transitions from cutscene to cutscene is a little janky but it isn't something that should bother you too much. I can't wait to see where the story takes me honestly.

The combat is great, reminds me of the Arkham games quite abit, and nothing beats finishing a foe with flashy animations, It's very engaging and satisfying. (Bare in mind i've barely even used the majority of weapons yet)

The Crafting seems really good, i haven't really touched it yet, but there is alot of potential with it and it looks like pretty much anything you can loot can be attached to upgrade your armour/weapons etc.

I've spent most of my time just running around and appreciating what has been made, looking for every little nuck and cranny incase i've missed something important or something to loot.

TLDR; I think from what i have experienced the reviews have been incredibly harsh on the game. Recently with other singleplayer games, they have not been able to hold my attention for more than half an hour, but this has. I've not had a game in so long where i can't wait to hop in and delve further into it. I think if you are considering buying this game just do it. Try it out. Don't listen to the reviews, somebody else might have a negative experience with the game but it doesn't mean you can't enjoy it :)

So... This games is great.

Never been a big fps gamer before this, i've played this game from release and can honestly say i've had so much fun with it.

There is quite a big learning curve with the game, but don't let that put you off, once you get better it will give you a great sense of achievement.

At times you feel like throwing your pc out the window... but i wouldn't have it any other way.

Just play this amazing game already.
