"Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew" looked so good on paper, that made me buy the game on the release date itself. The campaign commenced on a good note which laid a promising foundation for an exciting progress. It turned out to be a boring dragged on narration in the end. I would still recommend the game for old school game lovers of this genre, as clearly this genre is not being appreciated enough. When developers make not much effort to keep the game play interesting enough with good story, cut scene animations, User Interface, NPC interactions, replay values, and progression system, it doesn't help much to make more gamers take a liking to this genre. This game being the last game for the developers "Mimimi Games" as the studio is shutting down, I really hope that this would not be the case for other studios associated with the development of these genre of games.

I bought this game having no expectations and not having played the previous game. This game is very well designed. It would keep the players engaged for a long time, for the sheer amount of replays, which would bring something new to the table every time. The randomly generated lore with different paths and stories to uncover on every playthrough would encourage the players to revisit the zones, to find something new or to get a different loot/reward. The Co Op is a lot of fun too, but be wary of a few bugs that would prevent the players to get certain achievements if you didn't happen to be the host of the session. The game was being patched constantly and many of those technical issues were resolved on the updates. This game is a must buy and one of the best games released in 2023.
