FromSoftware games, or more specifically, games directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, are simply games that have affected my ability to enjoy titles made by other developers. They have a way of presenting the story, mechanics, and environments that truly respects the time and intelligence of its audience.

This game goes above and beyond on all of that.

The inspiration and art direction, on top of the tight and responsive combat are refined to a superb degree. The sense of adventure is amazing, and nearly perfected by letting players continue with little interruption. The ability to instantly mount/dismount a spectral steed, mechanics that encourage you to continue exploring without worry of where to store your excess of items, enemy groups that replenish your healing flasks, leveling up at any checkpoint, helpful re-spawn locations and no weapon durability.

PC performance definitely needs some work, my PC is a little above recommended specs and I still encounter some frame drops here and there while in some intense moments, but nothing game breaking for me personally. I understand that those who invested a significant amount to their rig may be disappointed but overall something very fixable.

But overall, this game is incredible, probably already my favorite game of all time..
