I'm unable to connect to matches both BOT or otherwise- I tried changing the game location to another SSD (from external to internal and it didn't work) I checked my space, cleared my cash - I really want to play this game. My review may change in the future but for now I just want to get past the 99% screen.

It’s been 12 excruciating, miserable years, but BioWare has finally made a pretty damn good video game again.

And if “pretty good” is all Dragon Age: The Veilguard is, then so be it. This is not a generational RPG on the same level as Baldur’s Gate 3, nor does it reach the modern BioWare heights of Mass Effect 2. But after 30 hours, I’ve settled into a largely positive rhythm with Veilguard, thanks to its very strong, organic, real character writing, best-in-the-series combat, and a focused, dense game design philosophy that prioritizes quality over quantity in side quests.

I played a total of 280 hrs with my Lavellan back when Inquisiton released, after all of the DLC's/the codex entrys and build up through the game: Solas showing his nature came both a shock and saddened understanding after putting the pieces together. Veilguard does a BEAUTIFUL of establishing stakes and getting you to care in the first two minutes after hitting “new game.” They tied in the weight of the world unraveling and how his choices impacted the world.


Of course now, with his 'I'm bringing the world back to the way it should' things go awry, a couple of eldritch nightmare gods are unleashed upon the world, and it’s up to Rook and a group of six or seven diverse heroes to stop them. It may not be as strong as Mass Effect 2 killing the protagonist in a spaceship explosion 10 minutes into the game, but it’s an effective enough intro that gets players into the action relatively quickly. I want to note, my take on comparing this to other games is not of a negative stand point, more out of nostalgia. And honestly....

Bioware, team, producers, beta testers, all of you. Knocked this out of the park. You have taken time, love and effort into this title and it shows. We see you.

Thank you. For making such an amazing game in my eyes, I look forward to playing more, side quests, lore entries, puzzles and uncovering the truth......

So - In short my Buddy Grumps and I went through this recent update Stealthily. Slow, patient steps through the pipe level, mindful of our footing to sneak past the ever looming entity. To booking it down red lain hospital halls, endless, callouts for each turn and rushing for the ever elusive blue keycard. This is one of if not the BEST Backroom games right now, we enjoyed the hell out of it and will soon see art of the game with our characters. WELL DONE TRIIODIDE TEAM.

Just finished my first playthrough (yes, there are many more to come) and what a game. The full campaign took me 100 hours and I like to think I did at least 75% of the content available (not counting the stuff locked due to choices)

The variety in enemies is beyond anything I have seen in other games. After letdowns like God of War where you fight draugr after draugr, this was such a breath of fresh air. I completed the game on Tactician mode and it was infuriating, intoxicating, and so much fun all at the same time. The enemies targeting your backline/DPS instead of just facing your tank meant I constantly had to think of placement. The frustrating moment of using a high level spell and being hit with a counterspell felt unfair only due to the spoiled nature I have gained from other games. This game will always be special to me.

This game has literally given me the will to live once more. Thank you to the developers. This is such a gem.

I can only compare it to the first time any of us experienced Dragon age, or the wonders of The Elder Scrolls for the first time. The freedom is liberating. The insane amount of choice that actually impacts the game instead of giving you a false sense of freedom.

If I had to pick one game to play for the rest of my life, this would be it.
