It is a zombie game first off, and has nearly flawless play with a huge diversity of settings, game play, in game content as well, plus its multiplayer if you want it to be as well.

(Updated 11/27/24) Just wanted to add that this game has become my number one all time survival, building, crafting, multiplayer game, plus i've been playing it since the release. It use to be my favorite on my PlayStation, and has become my favorite on the PC as it has a solid development on the PC with many updates to date still. Highly recommend to anyone, also have to say its basically the adult, zombie version of minecraft but with completely realistic graphics and textures, so worth the money for all they offer in the game play.

(Updated 09/24/23) Gotta give this game hands down a huge props to how well built the game is. Killers are a blast and love how unique each one is, along with the survivors have their own unique perks as well, making each and every killer & survivor 1 of a kind in the aspect of their character specific perks, and skins for their appearance. The grade rank progressing is nice, for survivors and killers has its own grade progression rank as well. I love that you can main survivor or killer or even both if you so choose, take your time or cram the hours to level up killers and survivors. I enjoy knowing all my blood points i gain whether be from playing my survivors or killers, these points may be spent on anyone i feel like and in any way i choose. The multiplayer online is a blast, even more with friends to fill your lobby vs randos who aren't always the best of teammates but its still a blast. I like most that this game gives me 2 feelings playing it based on whether i choose to play survivor for the thrills and chills, or play the killer for the adrenaline fueled enjoyment, either way i don't see anyone who tries this game to find themselves to be unhappy with it by any means. The mechanics, graphics, and all just work flawlessly, plus its cross platform (consoles, pc all play together), the game is inexpensive, has amazing dlc, and always having updated, survivors, killers, dlc added, plus has season passes you can choose to do the rift challenges (free or premium) and gain more blood points and rewards to unlock for your playing enjoyment. So i would highly recommend this game to anyone who loves a 4 survivor VS 1 killer lobby challenge, best of both worlds to me all under 1 roof. (only negative to me is based on what times you play and how many people you got in your lobby starting to play, if playing survivor, to fill the slots can take a few (avg lobby times for me has been about 3-7 min generally) as for the killers (avg lobby times for me have been 30 seconds - 3 min. max) - These times have been reduced since original post, as the devs have worked on the queue times. Along with launching so many good chapters and updates for sure.
