This game, to my surprise, turned out to be one of my most favorite JRPGs I've played. I just got into Digimon lately, and did play a lot of Pokemon in the past, but I have to say this game surpassed probably almost every Pokemon game I've played. (I didn't want to do any Digi-Poke comparisons on this review, but I guess too late there.)

The way you gather your creatures by scanning was a fun concept to me, and being able to digivolve and also dedigivolve ended up being fun for me. I would recommend to everyone reading this to get 200% on a scan, will definately help with getting Mega's as they require different ranges of ABI stats.

The gameplay was like your typical RPG. You had your Skills with different Elements, and even Digimon had their own three way typing system alongside the elements. Combat is turn-based in this game, where you use up to 3 Digimon in battle, and can swap out from your other 8.

There's also a Memory System, which increases as you beat bosses in the main storyline, do quests, or pick them up from chests in multiple areas of the game (There's guides online). Memory can limit the amount of Digimon you have in your party, which could very much depend on what stage(?) they're at (Fresh (IT1 in this game), In-Training (IT2 in this game), Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega).

I also recommend grinding if you're struggling in a fight, or fitting certain Digimon or digivolutions into the party when you can. The Digi-Farm also works great for training stats onto your Digimon, but it did feel easier to go to the EDEN Enterance to get items that lower trained stats or change a Digimon's personality so they train the right stat easier or faster.
Also recommend using the Develop system on the Farm in order to get Tactician USBs and PlatinumNumemon to put in two or three slots of the Battle Digimon for more EXP.

The storyline was one of my favorite parts of this game. It was beyond what I expected, and I cried at the end of both games. Hit me in the guts. It was a perfect way for me to start off in the Digimon franchise, as I also started to watch Digimon Adventure.

Honestly if it weren't for my boyfriend showing me Gammamon clips on Ghost Game, I don't think I ever woulda looked into Digimon and discovered probably a hidden gem among the many JRPGs out there.
And sorry for the long review with random uneeded tips from time to time. I want other players to enjoy this game too. It's fine if you don't enjoy it though. I think I just love this game too much-

I played a bit of Extinction first on my Phone given it was free, so at first some things in this game felt annoying, like the unnecessary long dots in some dialogue. But over time, I started to enjoy the game. All the Nexomon look cool, and the game can be challenging at times. Yeah, at times you'll need to grind, but it's worth it. The story was actually quite decent too. I always questioned some things in the story, and the answers came as it went on. From time to time, there was even twists, like a part in the Post Game before the Final Fight (I won't spoil).

I'd say this game is worth trying out for those wanting a new Creature Capture experience. I've been looking for a long time for a new Creature Capturing game to play, and this one was worth it.

I think I'll give this game a 8/10.

I'm surprised I haven't wrote a review for this yet.

This game, I love it. Ever since I picked it up October 1st last year, I've had a blast. I've been playing this game with my family, and we love it alot! My first map was Fjordur, and it hooked me in well with all it's unique creatures and dinos.
Since then, I've played almost all the maps, but never finished any. But making Dino friends has always been the hook of the game to me. I love my Tames alot, and I would be sad whenever I loose one.
I don't know howelse to explain how much I love this game.

I love taming. I love building. I love everything about it. The maps are beautiful, the creatures are amazing, and it's great.

Personally though, Shadowmane and Rock Drake for the win. Overrated, but I just love them so much.

Regardless, I recommend this game for anyone who like to Tame, Survive, and Build. Early game is hell, for sure, but it's so worth it.

This game is one of the best games I've ever played, I love everything about it.
After completing my Pacifist run and going to True Pacifist, this game just made me tear up. I reopened it and the message... reseting my file for a Genocide run will be hard.
I will update this after my Genocide run.
Oh, and..

It's just a fun sussy game. All you do is do tasks and try to find the imposter. Or if your imposter you kill. This is a lazy review so don't find it useful, but meh.

Have fun being a Sussy Baka.

Edit: Coming back to this like 2 years later, I was wondering "What the heck was I thinking? Sussy Baka? Why is this such a cringe review??"

Here's my real non-cringey 12 year old dummy review.

It's a fun game to play with friends, trying to figure out who killed who, who finished your tasks. You got to be real good at lying to get away with it time to time though. One of my siblings suck at lying, we always vote them out quick. Being able to sneak around and strategize has always been a fun part of games for me, moreso strategy. In real time, it's definitely something you need to embrace. I wish y'all luck getting your wins!

One of the best game's I've played. It has a amazing story with many twists, especially near the end of both parts of the game. I've had barley any issues with the game. Only problems I've had were little lag, but that's not a big deal cause it wasn't bad at all. I do have some tips for new players though, things I've either learned myself or from friends who played. So here's my tips for new players:

1.) As much time as it takes, do as many bounties and quests as possible. It gives lots of money, and stamps to fill out your cards. These cards you get at Swift Solutions give lots of useful rewards, like speeding up your walking in the overworld, giving the ability to jump (Not so useful, but fun), the ability to have a speed boost by pressing space on your dragon, etc.

2.) Buy equipment. This may be a obvious one, but there's probably some people who don't. I didn't use equipment for a quarter of the game, making fights and boss battles harder. If you don't wanna perish, upgrade your equipment in almost every new town, it will help you a TON.

3.) If your not around Lv. 70 by the time you fight the White Witch, GRIND. It's very difficult to beat the final boss in the Level 60's, all though some have. But trust me, if your Lv. 70, it will be a lot easier.

4.) Don't metamorph your familiars until they learned all their skills. I have done this many times until I was told it was a bad idea, it's good to get all skills before evolution cause then there's a chance you could be missing out on some very powerful moves.

5.) DON'T sell your Sun/Moon/Star/Planet Drops/Jumbo Sun/Moon/Star/Planet Drops for money. These are used to metamorph familiars. Selling Drops may be ok honestly, but selling the Jumbo ones are the things you shouldn't do. Jumbo Drops are not easy to get, you can get them as rewards and stuff, but they don't drop from enemies until your at the final boss dungeon. And to get them via alchemy, your gonna need to have Tengri (the dragon) unlocked because your gonna have to go to a fly only area to find the enemies that drop crystals to make these Jumbo Drops.

6.) 100% clear the Miasma Marshes and Nevermore when you first unlock those area's. After you clear them, there will be no way to access them until after a Post Game quest. You can check how many chests and how many area you cleared by using the Telling Stone in the menu that your given earlier in the game. Some area's don't tell you how many chests there are, so I recommend using the wiki to find that out before you enter these places.

These are all the tips I have for new players playing Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. If I remember more tips and am able to update this, I will do so to help all the new players looking to try this game out, or are struggling with some of these things. And I hope everyone playing this enjoys this amazing game! Have a nice day, everyone!
