My favorite game in this genre. More characters, new map, new curse mechanic. I enjoyed it. Also, very reasonable pricing

thumbs up from me. I came in not knowing if it'd be for me because of the multiplayer. I like MP in monster hunter, but only have 1 friend to play w reliably. Getting a random for the third player has been hit or miss, but is never dull. I recommend the game, and am hoping for cool DLC in the coming months

Played this game for maybe 40 hrs via Game Pass and wanted to own a copy of it because it's so fun. The crafting-style games are not usually my favorite, but this one is different. The crafting options are easy to understand but complex enough to where you can do some really intricate automation designs if you want to. I love the gameplay loop of crafting weapons/armor to get strong enough to fight the next boss. Do not let the cutesy art-style fool you. This game can be brutal, and you will wind up with a tombstone if you don't prepare yourself for the biome you're traveling to. There's a good enough variation of playstyles (melee, ranged, summoner, magic), but you aren't locked into any one build and can switch freely between them all. There's a ton of secrets to uncover, and the game is still being added to and actively developed. Highly recommend

Didn't enjoy the demo of this game, but bought the game on sale because I enjoyed Aeterna Noctis and wanted to give it a chance. There's a TON of content in this game. I love it. I'm 20 hrs in and haven't unlocked or seen but maybe 15% of the content. Combat and traversal is tight and engaging(it handles just like Aeterna Noctis.) The only cons I can think of for the game would be that the bats and one hit flying enemies always run inside of walls & you have to bait them out by running away. Kind of annoying. Other than that, good game and great studio. Looking forward to Aeterna Lucis

Shame that this game had some issues with their publisher and got de-listed for a while. I feel like it stopped the momentum it had and maybe we would have gotten more content & fixes to it. Regardless, this is a steller MV title and I would 100% recommend it

There's so many metroidvania games nowadays that it's hard for one to stand out from the pack. A couple recent ones that didn't blow me away were 8 Doors and Ghost Song. They were ok, but there's 100 games just like them. Aeterna Noctis is something special. The maps huge, combat is tight, sense of exploration and discovery is there. Platforming feels good, no floaty feeling. You can tell there was a ton of care and love for the genre put into this game. This dev has joined my list of teams i'll always keep an eye on what they're doing next. They know what they're doing.
Update: Had a tech issue and the studio actually reached out and helped me figure it out. This team is awesome

This one stands out. Awesome world and style, combat is tight, story is interesting. It has a lot of dark souls references/easter eggs, which are fun. I'm just 3 hrs in, but i'm having a blast.

Retromania very much pays homage to the original Wrestlefest while adding in a variation on the fire pro wrestling style grapple system to modernize the gameplay. I much prefer this to the old button-mashing of the original. I understand the sentiment from the negative reviews about the difficulty. I'm sure there will be some post-launch adjustments with it. I had no trouble getting through story mode and (semi)consistently winning matches. They could've done a better job with on-boarding by having a training mode or at least mentioning that the training comes via story mode. These are small issues that i'm sure will be addressed. The core of the game is fun and I hope it does good so this small, dedicated team is able to add more content to the game, although it's still solid as it is. I'd love to see what the community could do with a CAW system, and I want to see how this story mode ends. Thumbs up from me, although the price point would be a little high for anyone that's not a fan of wrestling or the original Wrestlefest

This is one of the better metroidvania-style games that has released in recent years. I feel like it doesn't get as much attention as it should for as good as it is. The movement is very fluid, it's really fun to zip around using the hook line. Only issue I have with it is there was one point in the game where I just couldn't figure out how to progress, so I stopped playing for a while and came back to it later. Maybe there was some dialogue to tell me where to go next, but I didn't see it. All of that aside, it's a must buy for anyone that's into these style of games

Early Access Review
This game isn't even out of early access yet and it's a must buy, unless you're just someone who prefers to wait for the finished product. It looks like there's still a ton of content to come in future updates, but there's plenty here to enjoy right now. I've never had any crashes or bugs, this game is definitely polished. It has a borderlands feel to the combat, with the character-specific abilities. I hope this game sells a ton of copies, because this is a developer that deserves to succeed
