TLDR: Play if you like good gun play, and beautiful environments.

I've been playing Destiny since the release of Destiny 1 on the Xbox. Destiny led to me meeting some of my best friends, and created hundreds of positive memories for me, so when Destiny 2 was announced a few years ago, I was ecstatic. The game was pre-ordered, and I booked the day off work on release....

I was... let down. The Red War story was decent, especially when played through in one sitting so that plot points weren't forgotten. The game was (and is!) beautiful, the gun play was clean and enjoyable, and each class felt great in its own right. But the endgame was lacking. After I had completed the story, it ended up just being a chore list, and because D2 is a 'MMOFPS' or whatever title they try to shoot for, this is still a prevalent problem in some cases, even today.

I took a long break from the game before the release of the first two mini DLC drops (both of which have been content vaulted at the time of writing), but came back soon after, with a moment of clarity about missing the gun play after playing some other unnamed games.

With Forsaken, Shadowkeep, and now Beyond Light major DLC drops, I'm enjoying the game more than ever. I've played through the campaigns at least six times, (though likely more) run hundreds of strikes using the plethora of unique weapons and armour at my disposal, and hit the top 2.5% in Trials of Osiris after struggling with the PvP for so long. I even played a wack of Gambit (the new version ends much quicker, thank goodness).

If you are a completionist, this game is a dream. Knocking out Seals, Weapon Collections, Lore, Collectibles, Armour Sets; each of these things honestly gave me a dose of dopamine. Thus the amount of hours put into the game. Most quests don't feel like chores, but rather alternate goals, so that you aren't just playing for the sake of playing. And as someone who doesn't really wander in the open world (I need a goal), it is just *chef's kiss*.

Grinding out weapon rolls has more paths to success than ever before, with the Menagerie Lite with Wrathborn hunts, focused raid loot in Deep Stone Crypt, and secrets in every corner it feels.

I highly, highly endorse this game, just for the core game play. If you are looking for a super deep story, look elsewhere.

Also, join a clan. ♥

Good game. Not typical Assassin’s Creed, but I like it. A lot. Excited to sink another 30 hours in.

Alright, straight up, this is a Far Cry game. Dont take anything seriously. Screw around, jump out of helicopters, try to play through the entire game using only shovels. That makes it a total riot.

On the other hand, if you are here for story... eh, it could be better. Graphically the game is amazing, the music is fantastic, and the combat is polished and enjoyable.

I enjoy playing the game alone, but if you can get a buddy to get the game as well, I would highly reccommend it, seeing as two morons running at a cult truck with shovels with smiley faces on them makes for some pretty hilarious moments. :D

I would buy the game again on a different account if it went on sale at some point in the future if I needed too.
