well well well...where to start?

This game is NOT your typical nowday rushed ass horror game wich only lives from its jumpscares.
its a nice change in this genre to see a game wich goes more back to the roots of horror and instead of using cheap ways to give you a small maybe 3 second lasting scare effect it builds its horror around Pupaphobie (The phobia of dolls) and the athmosphere like horror games did back then.

Considering the current state of the horror game genre and the fact that every game nowdays only plays around cheap jumpscares, of course everyone has different views on what horror truly means but for someone that grew up with a lot of horror interests it gets boring really quickly it is always the same: a crappy flashlight, some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ uncreative monster that you forget about after 5 seconds because its the most basic ass thing, jumpscare here jumpscare there and whats that? a locked door how about we make you walk 20 minutes in pure darkness just to find an stupid item and then we make you go back 20 minutes to stretch the game far enough that it has a chance to get viral on the internet.

Dollmare however uses a different aproach there are no jumpscares or a boring monster chasing you around it is the overall world you are in an seemingly lost building, the feeling of being completely alone yet seen by something...or someone. there are besides the boss no other people and once he stops talking and you find yourself in the dark, with dolls staring in your soul, while the lights are buzzing slightly in the background you feel this uncanny feeling like your brains tries to find anything that may calm it down and find the reason for this feeling. and while you go trough all that, the uncanny feeling, the background noises, the whispers, the uncertanty? whatever you feel you know that you are not alone...yet and who knows maybe that doll you are currently inspecting has something to do with all of those feelings.

Id reccomend this game for people who are bored of the current state of the genre you may like the different aproach or you may not.

But if you can effort to chug down your 8th energy drink while you only play horror games with the brightest settings in company with your trusty huggy pillow then you can affort the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5 bucks for something that may open your eyes for this specific kind of Horror Sub-genre

So i played the Game for 3.4 hours here is my review

Is the game good? - Yes it is

Is it scary? - I played a lot of horror games so for me not really

Is it worth the money? - im not sure about that got 100% at like 3 hours and 10 min. id say no (sorry)

is the Ai good? - depends Charles sucks so much a** that little sh*t couldnt get me in my entire playtrough
The cultists on the other hand have better aimbot then all of the 11yo call of duty players

The games isnt really worth almost 20 bucks for normal people but for achievement Hunters and Horror fans like me its a gift

7/10 would rate more if there was more content

WOW ive played trough the game in one session its so *ucking good its unbeliveble, it even made me cry at the end WOW (btw sry for my bad englisch)

liebe steam gamer, dieses meisterwerk ist eine revolutionäre spielerfahrung, geschichtliche ereignisse werden kreativ und spanned vermittelt die map is atemberaubend gemacht, die sounds könnten nicht besser sein, die genger verehalten sich realistisch, Das spiel selbst ähnelt einem AAA tittle es ist ein spiel das JEDER mal ausprobiert haben sollte es ist sein geld mehr als wert. überaust zu empfehlen
