The game can make opinions pretty polarized. You either love it or hate it, or maybe even love it and hate it.

There are a lot of good qualities about the game. Some being overshadowed by the bad. The balance for the game is way off, hit boxes are inconsistent at best. People tend to make the DBD experience very toxic.

I find most players are kids and will play a specific way to try and force the outcome that they need to feel good. Survivors run in circles and gen rush ending the game very fast. Killers will camp, focus on, and tunnel people from hooks because its easier than having to find them again and takes away a lot of the risk.

There are plenty of balance issues, and they try to fix and balance the game all the time still...and you would think that it would be good for the game...not so much. It's basically polarized the community into those that just want to win no matter what and those who realize winning doesn't mean anything. IT'S A GAME, and we just want to play it...and damn the outcome! I won a game of Tic Tac Toe in 1983...who f*cking cares?

I feel like they are honestly more concerned with making more and more money from the game, the dlc for the game adds up to around 120 bucks. The dlc doesn't even equal as much content as the entire game that cost $20 bucks and frequently goes on sale for less than $10 Instead of making it more consistent and taking a stand on people who actually ruin the game because they can't take losing.

Hit boxes are inconsistent at best, dropping and stunning killers with pallet is very inconsistent, same goes for vaulting thru windows and lockers...I've actually been hit inside the locker. because on the killers screen it didn't show I was all the way in, even though I was all the way in on my screen about a second or two before that.

In an optimal situation, good matches should take around 15-25 minutes maybe a half an hour at most. Most tho take only about 7-10 minutes because players on lower ranks will spread sheet the sh*t out of this game, and make it as boring as possible, except for them of course, because they won so that is all the "fun" that matters. Doesn't matter if YOU had fun, that's not their concern...so much for good sportsmanship.

Most matches are not gonna be optimal unless u care only about winning. If you do, then I'm sure you will find and abuse the same tactics and perk builds to ruin the game for everyone else but yourself in the match. I've seen people using these same tactics with less than 10 hours playing the game, as have the people with 3,000 hours and more.

If you want to play good fun games where the who wins doesn't matter as much as how well the game was played by all. Then you might find yourself getting tired of this game fast but u might also just find yourself missing it because when the games are good, they are good.

Honestly the game would be more balanced if they gave you level 3 perks as your learning the maps and how to play the game and as you level characters up take away those crutches and let you play on skill and experience alone. But then most players would have to rely on actual skill not their ability to learn and abuse patterns, and game mechanics and physics to stack the deck in their favor...to me that's the opposite of skill. So most players would leave the game since they can't stroke their ego and would actually have to earn it. As if...
