I can't even begin to get into every little thing this game allows you to do in a review. I barely understand it, but I've enjoyed it so far.

Basically you manage a baseball team as it says on the store page. You can choose how much or little control you have over rosters, lineups and depth charts, etc. You then can play out games, making decisions with each batter how to position your defenders, whether to swing away, take a pitch, steal a base, etc.

The attention to detail in this game is incredible. Players get injured, you can manage the ticket prices of your home stadium, you can make decisions on a pitch-by-pitch basis or just per-batter if you prefer, or you can even just allow the AI to auto-play a game if it gets out of hand or you just don't want to. I even got this during a game: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2825808828

The biggest downside is that the UI can be confusing because of the sheer volume of information you are presented with. The games can also play out kind of weird sometimes, with wildly different speeds on throws to first base, the ball phasing through a defender without him even attempting to make a play, etc. The games are still quite fun to play out though.

My overall rating: 7/10

It's maybe a little on the pricy side but I guess that makes sense considering that it's an officially MLB licenced game.

Still not really sure what the point of Perfect Team mode is.

Does this game suck as bad as the XX (2020) edition?? Because that GAME TOTALLY SUCKED! Does this game cheat like XX does? DO players actually have ACCURATE stats? In 2020 they definitely did not. In this game when you trade for a star does he suck on your team but was great on his prev team? Then trade him away and hes an even bigger star? XX that happened all the time. Is trading next to impossible? How is Degroms ERA? When i had him on my Mets in XX It was 4,64, 4.98 and 5.02 over 3 seasons. In Season 3 the game must have an algorythem to mke all your players drop 40 percent in overall stats. Does this game have that? I logged almost 500 hours in XX version and im sorry i not only bought it, but clogged my hard drive with this waste of space, and the time wasted ill never get back. Several emails to the devs didnt get a reply. And hte perfect team is just a money grab. I didnt even bother with it.

This is the first version I've played so I can't compare it to 2020.

There is a fair amount of randomness to how players progress and it isn't tied to the players in real life, so some players who are stars in real life may not amount to much in the game and vice-versa. They generally start out like they were when the game was released, but then anything can happen.

I haven't seen any noticeable cheating by the AI. The simulation does look funny sometimes due to a limited number of player animations, but I still find it enjoyable.

Does the game totally suck and cheat and is completely inaccurate like the 2020 version? Like other reviews on here, they say the devs are just a money grab cut and paste from prev versions. I even sent a detailed email to devs with my concerns about accuracy. of course they never wrote back. The 2020 version was horrible. Cheats like crazy, stats are not even cloise to real (The review on Juan Soto reads: Nothing stands out about Soto).LOL yeah ok. JD Martinez hit 0.56 in thie first season i played. The game sucked. I dont want to get scammed again.
