ARNAUTICA
Arnautica is a progressive house and future bass DJ based in Atlanta.
With over 150,000 streams on Spotify for his 2019 club banger ‘Mistakes’, and having
performed in venues across Germany, Japan, Korea and the US, Arnautica’s ready to take
his DJ career to the next level this year starting with his upcoming new album ‘Dreamer’,
set for release on August 7th.
Arnautica, who listens to a multitude of artists across the spectrum of genre, cites Al
Greene, Culture Club, Deadmau5, Seven Lions and Tone Depth as creative inspiration.
But his main motivation for making music, the progressive house DJ and producer says, is
to promote unity and touch people’s lives. Arnautica says: “If I can save someone’s life
with my music, the way music saved my life, then it’s all worth it. It’s about seeing people
come together at festivals with peace, love, unity and respect.”
Originally from Saginaw, Michigan, the Native American artist grew up in a poor and
violent neighbourhood. His parents, who loved music, inspired him to take up an
instrument. To escape his environment as a child, Arnautica taught himself to play guitar
and later learned to play the trumpet. These two instruments would later heavily influence
his freedom of expression and current sound.
Seemingly headed towards a music career from a young age, Arnautica strayed from his
creative path in high school when he discovered a talent for sports. The popularity of
being a jock was consuming and gradually overtook his love of music. Straight out of high
school, Arnautica joined the United States Marines as an Infantryman and served for five
years. During this period, he grew apart from his family and his wife. He left the Marines
abruptly and spent the next few years drifting heartbroken, alone, and without purpose.
But Arnautica slowly re-discovered music. After a painful process of self-reflection, the
artist emerged from his despair and realised that music was the one thing he loved more
than anything. He found himself back on the creative path again. At first music was an
escape from life’s harsh realities, but Arnautica soon found that music brought meaning
and purpose back into his life. He made the bold decision to move to Berlin, Germany.
It was Berlin’s thriving music scene that exposed Arnautica to new styles and networks.
The electronic artist became heavily influenced by the Underground Techno scene. From
then, Arnautica worked to learn as much as he could from everyone around him, with a
laser-focus on his singular new goal: to become one of the world’s best DJs.
Arnautica is now set to take the electronic music landscape by storm with his upcoming
album ‘Dreamer’. Follow the progressive house and future bass producer/DJ for updates.
