It's alright I guess

Good casual fun

Risk of Rain 2 has a lot to offer

This game was a real mess when it came out. There were a lot of bugs, poor optimization for skills, unpolished world, etc. I'm sure if you're reading this, you've heard a lot.

Overall, they have fixed a lot of the issues, reoptimized skills and perks to offer variation in gameplay, reworked everything to do with police and driving, fixed many bugs (not all), and polished the game a bit here and there.

I wouldn't have recommended this game when it came out, but if you've been waiting, I would say this is a good time to get it. (wait for a sale if you want, but it's worth it either way)

Would I recommend Stellaris?

That depends on who I am recommending it to. Casual gamers who don't have experience with RTS or turn based games, probably not. The game does not do a good job explaining how everything works, but if you're smart you'll understand quick enough. The novelty can wear off pretty quickly for new players, and some things can be frustrating for them.

Would I recommend it to people with more experience in these types of games? Maybe. The game can feel pretty stale after a couple runs, so if you're looking for a game that has plenty of hours in it, make sure you're willing to shell out some $ for the DLCs. The DLCs are pretty pricey, so maybe wait to see if they go on sale. Overall, I recommend this game if it's on sale. Then you can feel good about picking the game up with a few DLC of your choice.

As much as I enjoy this game for the gritty and nihilistic atmosphere it provides, the dev has no intention of adding any further development despite it being a game with some good potential. I enjoy the game. but it feels unfinished. Incomplete. The discord is even full of people making great suggestions, but it's all in vain. Sad really, it's a good game.

The pain will make you stronger

A fun old game with a cool inventory management system and an interesting skill system. Combat is pretty basic but I still think it's fun. If I hadn't received this as a gift, I would be happy with it as a purchase no doubt.

In my opinion its hack and slash branded AC and it does a huge dishonor to the early games. I regret the purchase
