Don't hesitate to buy and play this game. Remember little wolf puppies, "HESITATION IS DEFEAT"

It's not bad enough that it is funny but it's not even good, no even close to it. and why do they generate naked women with 4 and a half hand and 55 fingers when you have asked for a normal picture and generate a normal picture when you have asked nsfw. it is really terrible.

New Review : Bought this game and defeated margit and godrick. That souls magic is strong with this one. Need to play more before the entire review. Mostly the glitches are gone and whatever little is remaining it does not get in the way of enjoying this marvelous game.


Old review : Refunding this game because in the current state it is full of stutters so much so that enemy attacks was interrupted, even though I am playing on a 2080. Will re-buy later when future patches come in and update this review.
It is sad because I was too excited for this game and bought it at full price.

Is this the game to play after playing doom? Definitely.

Have I found a hidden gem? 110%. Is it free of problems? No. I wouldn't be so nit picky if this was a bigger game with a larger scope, but since this is trying to sell a realistic experience through the temple some of them break the immersion.
1. Model and texture issues - I am certain that a lot of assets are not made but are rather assets given with unreal engine and quixel. But in certain places there is that issue that happens in unreal that you can see through objects that do not have any solidify modifier. There are certain texture stretching issue. And blueprint placement issues like in stairs and all where they are not correctly aligned. And some assets could use more polygons and bevels, because a lot of them are very sharp around the edges. These do break the immersion and my the objective of my run quickly became finding more faults rather than enjoying the atmosphere. There were some collider issue wherein I was able to get into some places and have trouble getting out, or I was having trouble getting up the stairs. And definitely more tessellation was required in multiple places.
2. Lighting and post-processing - The overall postprocessing even though is very moody and feels good could use a little brightening up. I had to increase my monitor's gamma and brightness to properly enjoy the journey. It does need a little bit more oomph.
3. Audio - It has a built in spotify and is awesome but if there was more finer control over the audio like being able to reduce the environment noises or something would have been awesome. It would have given each player a more personal feeling according to their likes. Because even in real life we tend to phase out noises that we don't want to hear unconsciously.
4. Weird depth of field and camera - There is a weird shallow depth of field that sometimes kicks in and sometimes do not. And the camera movement especially if being moved fast was making me feel a little squeamish.
5. Lack of stuff to do - Now this is definitely not a complaint but rather a suggestion to the developer. Very little stuff like increase the area of the invisible walls so that we can go and find more creative angles to take photos from. Stuff like crouching to get a lower angle shot. Ability to sit on a bench or ring a bell, little things like that will make the game awesome.
This is definitely a hidden gem and I appreciate the work done by the developer. I think this is a solo project with a lot of love put into it and it's free. A few small things and this will become amazing with not complaints.

I have not played the original games so I have no nostalgic or sentimental feelings towards these games. but I will 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, lighthearted, 'video game' game.

I can't get past the initial sprint jump part. he always falls short. Please help.
