It's crazy to me how much Fallout 4 regressed in most aspects compared to NV. So many little details important to immersion are quite frankly lacking in Bethesda's newest titles. It really took me quite a while to pick up NV due to the games age but I'm glad I did. This games dynamics function beautifully in tandem with its top notch Writing, Factions, Companions, and voice acting to create a perfect blend of RPG. I can't recommend New Vegas enough to any budding Fallout fans that have never experienced the original games.

Onto the DLC; Dead Money is an interesting experience and its really the only DLC that has players divided on enjoyment. To me, it introduced many new and interesting aspects that really altered my play style and mechanics. I can see why this would be a downside to most as in retrospect Dead Money is pretty hell bent on forcing a single minded playstyle that some may not find enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the villa and hotel and thought that the characters, (Elijah, Dog, God, Christine <3, and Dean Domino) and Environment (The Fog) were exceptionally well implemented (especially God)

TLDR: if you enjoy game play that rewards a methodical playstyle you'll likely enjoy Dead Money.

Old World Blues is an incredibly unique DLC across all Fallout games and remains one of my favorite. The Characters, Environment, Enemies, and overall design are so memorable and well implemented. The voice acting of everyone in the Think Tank and Sink is top notch and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring Big Mountain. Exploration in Old World Blues is thoroughly rewarded with items like the stealth suit, Elijah and Christine's hidden weapons, and unique and memorable fights (Mobius' giant scorpion for example).

TLDR: Old World Blues is a classic example of Fallout DLC Done right. Unique Characters, Voluntary Exploration, new exciting weapons, Old World Blues has a lot to offer.

Lonesome Road; this DLC has a cult following and for a very good reason. Plenty explain it better than I and I implore you to explore the media surrounding it. Experiencing Lonesome Road is something all Fallout fans should do. (Ulysses has some of the best damn voice acting in all of video games). New Vegas at its prime.

Honest Hearts: By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept, when we remembered Zion. (getting tired of writing so just know that Joshua Graham is an S-tier character and this DLC is fun but not necessary to the story the other 3 DLC weave).
