Just an "old" gamer, trying to "revive" an "old game" Civil War Generals 2 - Grant-Lee-Sherman. Which DOES work on these newer windows machines. Even with the 64 bit encryption. And? It can be played multi-player, with adding the IPX Wrapper into the game folder, and, via a V..P.N. (virtual private network), such as Tunngle. W A R N I N G ! ! ! It is not "plug n play", and one has to do some pretty "in depth" "procedures" within your computer to GET Multiplayer, working. But? Just getting the game to PLAY on a newer computer isn't so hard. The question one has to ask oneself is WHY? When THIS game, is precisely WHAT the WON community was looking for, BACK THEN!...LOL Only downside is Ultimate Generals is NOT mult-player.
