YIIK, in its first release, was a big dumpster fire, gaining popularity for its extremist concepts and its less-than-stellar reception from critics, with RPG Maker gameplay, a self-confusing story, and hard-on-the-eyes graphics, it isn't hard to see why it got the reputation that it did, I am thankful to say that Nameless Psychosis has more to its belt other than the Oney Plays walkthrough.
Nameless Psychosis addresses many of the issues the postmodern RPG had initially, overhauling the combat system to something that is way more unique, It's a vast improvement on the cutscene scenario and has stunning sights in its level design, to say that the new version is a vast improvement is an understatement, It's quite impressive how many of the returning characteristics of YIIK feel much more in place in the demo, for example, the history gets vastly more interesting whenever having Alex's Ted talk, the fights actually feel unique with the Karta system and various other elements.
The demo still has issues, though, some cutscenes feel unnatural, with character models standing looking lifeless, the combat lacks style and charm with its cut-down animations and out-of-place sound effects. But overall, the demo is worth checking out.
