art design is certainly better even if at some points & the crackhead trip style makes a lot of moments more memorable, but the artstyle also has the secondary effect of occasionally making ♥♥♥♥ look like the unpleasant gradient
new ideas such as whatever tf is going on with michael are interesting & keep me invested, while old dialogue still remains in the game with all of the problems it had (granted, a lot of these are hilarious)
new combat system could be fun methinks

tl;dr i wait with bated breath but the demo looks like a massive improvement. i think the game needs a floral shirt alex eggleston can wear though

i overdosed at the worst possible time on meth and was instantly folded into a meatcube
altogether it's a pretty good game

the secret power of rimworld dlc is that the mods will fix any problem you have with it

combat feels like darkest dungeon
dialogue, visuals, etc are all superb
hero shrines could use some visual flair while the academic talks about their backstory
game at the time of this review has extremely limited variance in enemies & events. the game could've cooked for a bit longer because seeing the same few enemies and events ad infinitum is sure to dampen how you feel about the game
it's still good, but i hope that these issues can be alleviated one way or another

its a gacha game. if you dont like gachas, probably not for you.
