Early Access Review
Derail Valley is a game where you start in a mysterious land where you appear to be the last person alive in the valley. You walk into the yard office looking for help but there are only job papers. You notice that your wallet is thin so you try to accept a high-paying job, to only get rejected as you are unqualified. So you grab a low-paying job you grab a small shunter to do the job. You get the job done and get paid by a machine. You open the menu and you see many, many licenses so you start buying them. These new licenses allow you to drive more trains which leads to more money. You search the cities to find someone still no luck but you run into a shop that sells many items some more useful than others. One of these items is an ancient artifact that will unlock something greater. You work your way through the ranks and start pulling dangerous goods making lots of money. You almost get access to the strongest locomotive but one day you derail a train with dangerous goods setting fire to the forest and spilling toxic chemicals into the river! The train explodes sending cars flying. You go back to the office to get slammed by a fine doing critical financial damage. After many trips, you get the money and start pulling the biggest trains raking in the money. One day you see a military base. You buy access to the military base and you start pulling military supplies. you gain favor with the military and gain access to their top-secret jobs supplying their more dubious jobs. Send classified containers you are not sure who the military is, who they are fighting or what they are doing, or if are you singled handily causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people but all you know is that you are getting paid a lot so you quickly reach your first million. At this point, you have so much money that damaging a job isn't going to hurt your balance eventually you build behemoth trains getting hundreds of thousands per train. Eventually, you reach ten million and realize that there is no one else and that all you need is trains. You keep driving until you sit down in your house and retire as the sun sets you remanence of all the time spent driving on the rails.
