Despite its technical issues Security Breach is still worth trying for the amount of fun it offers.
The characters are amazing over the course of the game I grew incredibly attached to the main four animatronics. only for the game to break my heart later .Each area feels unique and the whole Pizzaplex is fun to explore and filled with little details and collectibles. At the end of the game you're free to explore the whole building and I've found myself just wondering around for fun. All the stealth sections were tense but unlike other stealth games, where I found myself just sitting in a corner too scared to move, here thanks to the security camera feature I could get just enough information to keep going and take risks. Some sections of the game are honestly terrifying (notably the basement with endo skeletons, djmm and garbage dump) but once I cleared them I've found myself thinking about each section for a long time after just remembering how cool they were. The moment to moment gameplay is honestly the best part of the game. One moment you're wandering around the restaurants to find a way to progress the other you're controlling a staff bot to make pizza. I've also enjoyed many details sprinkled throughout showing how greedy the Fazber corporation is and to what extent they are cutting corners. The story maybe a little underwhelming though especially the endings I had to watch some explanations on youtube to get the full grasp on what really happened.
I should also mention I used guides and walkthroughs to get through some parts of the game and it saved me some frustrations.
The game is not without some problems though. During my playthrough I’ve encountered many graphical and texture glitches and some AI glitches. for example during the fight with Monty he got stuck in place and wouldn't move
One really major problem with the game is the stutter. Every time a new area loads the game would stutter until that new area loaded. After a while I got used to it and was expecting it whenever I went to a new area but I would completely understand if it was a deal breaker for some people. Another problem is the lack of options. It's very evident that this is a port of the console release because there aren't that many graphical options. I couldn't lock my game to 60 fps for example and the quality options just give you the standard "low, medium, high, ultra" choice.
Overall I would highly recommend Security Breach, but even though I had a lot of fun with it I would encourage others to see if the glitches won't be a deal breaker and maybe wait for another patch.

After playing the prologue Backbone was one of my most anticipated games of the year. I bought it day one and I'm disheartened to say It's really hard to recommend.

The prologue showcased clever puzzles, stealth sections, multiple ways to progress, and taught the player to make careful decisions about their choices especially if they choose to be undercover. I was disappointed to find out these mechanics are nowhere to be found in the full game. It might as well be just a visual novel from act 1 onwards.

Forgetting what was promised in the prologue, the game was still quite enjoyable, mostly because of its intriguing story. The narrative did a great job of making you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a nationwide conspiracy that could change society forever and no matter how much of the story you unravel there is always a new mystery, a new perspective.

But all of this immediately collapses once you get to the 4th act and only goes downhill. It really feels like the very end of the story was extremely rushed. We’re introduced to a twist that basically cements the idea that you will never get to the bottom of this case. The game throws at you cryptic, philosophical dialogues about the idea of existence, of identity and life, which I’m sure will have its audience, but for this to come right after a turning point in the story and bringing it to a screeching halt was really confusing and disappointing.
Not to mention the epilogue in which the characters acted in a nonsensical way. The best conclusion I could come up with is this was all still deception, but the worst part is you will never get to know if the villain was lying and why she was lying. Which for what was set up to be a detective story for the first 3 acts was extremely disappointing. If you really like ambiguous, philosophical, almost Lovecraftian stories with lots of loose ends and no way to connect them then maybe it’s worth a trying, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to people who want to immerse themselves as a detective and get to the bottom of this mystery.

All of this on top of the numerous bugs I encountered. Backbone not only had a large number of visual glitches, but some that actively stop or mess with your progression such as dialogue boxes skipping themselves or being unable to click a response option. Bugs like this would be excusable if the game featured manual saves. It only gives you the option continue the game or start it from the very beginning. Lack of chapter selects also makes achievement hunting very tedious. And I’m not sure if this would classify as a bug or an oversight but some characters you meet earlier in the story seem to completely forget you. As an example I met Florence in the prologue and once I met her several chapters later again she acted as if I was a stranger. I guess that might be because the prologue featured multiple choices of progressing (helping Florence was one option) but the game seems to be unprepared to handle these choices later.
It’s not all bad though. In some ways this game can be truly beautiful , the graphics, environments, soundtrack and character interactions are honestly amazing, but they’re just completely overshadowed by all the things I listed above.

I really wanted to love this game and I don’t want to put down the team of honestly talented people. This was their passion project, they had a message to send out to the world and they did it. It’s just very hard to recommend as a game that focuses heavily on a story with no conclusion.

Zniw Adventure is a charming game that pays tribute to computer games from the 90's and it succeeds at it tremendously without falling into typical point and click pitfalls such as pixel hunting. Every objective and interactable object are well telegraphed. The art style is cute and cartoony with lots of funny sound effects and relaxing music. I've grown to care about every character and there are even a few tense moments and plot twists which made me very engaged. There is also a ton of optional stuff to unlock such as concept art and minigames. It's definitely worth your time!

A very charming and cute game. The artstyle is really unique and the music is very relaxing. The game doesn't fall into typical point and click pitfalls like pixel hunting or forgetting where to go. Even though its extremely short it's definetly worth your time! It also ends rather abruptly but i'm think this is just a part of something bigger and I can't wait to see more <3

Sonic Forces is a really short but enjoyable adventure. Although the game is short, it provides a lot of replay value with all the paths you can take in stages. The addition of a player avatar was a great choice and trying out different routes with different weapons is really fun. The inclusion of classic sonic was also pretty pointless as he has the least amount of stages. Overall I would highly recommend this game if you can grab it on a sale. The main campaign took me about 5 hours to complete.

Rain World is a game which I adore, but is very hard to recommend to anyone.
The game throws you into an unknown land in which you're clueless and weak (but not defenseless). Most of the fun comes from learning about the world and its creatures through interaction and observation. The world of the game is built on the idea that everything is organic an you're the outsider, the world isn't built for the player.
Rain World can be a brutal an unforgiving game even if you know what you're doing. Because the creatures aren't scripted it can cause a great deal of unfair situations and some areas like the shaded citadel are made extremely difficult on purpose. There are times where I feel like 90% of the time I get by on sheer luck and not my skill. The map system is also very confusing because it chooses to show the world in multiple layers even though the game is in 2D. It's the kind of game you'd want to play with a fan made simpler map and a wiki on the side.
The story, while simple at first gets more cryptic and "artsy". Personally, I didn't enjoy it as it gets more and more confusing and strays from your original goal.
I'd only recommend this game to players who already enjoy unforgiving and brutal games or get by on pure curiosity getting lost while exploring this strange land (like I do).
