Great game, lots of fun build customization, very fun action. Even in early access i'd say this game is worth its price, and it will (hopefully) just keep getting better. Think deeprock galactic style missions combined with ultrakill gameplay, with a pretty in depth build system that lets you do some wacky stuff with your weapons.
I will say, two of the characters (specifically wrangler and scavenger) seem much weaker compared to the other 2, but it might just be me not having played them much.
Editing my review a bit, all the characters are plenty strong and can stand on their own right. Glider is a bit more powerful than the rest, but the others become really good with the right upgrades too.

Very hard, but lots of fun stuff to be found! You should strategize and use everything available.

Very nice experience, glad that they added official steam support to Tmod.
All in all the mods can vastly expand the Terraria experience, and tModLoader is a very easy to use, and quite stable platform.
It requires no modding skills to use, simply go into the mod browser and pick what you want. If you enjoy Terraria, I can definitely recommend you pick this up, especially because its free, easy to use, and doesn't even modify your original game.
