Early Access Review
I wish steam had a neutral option for games like these. The game is fun, there is no question, if you're crashing it's probably your fault and if you have long load times it's probably due to a rather weak PC. But let's get into it.

Ignoring crashing and load times (because as I said in most cases it is due to a weak pc or just the fault of the player in general) the game is quite fun it boasts better graphics, a more thought out a robust leveling system and while a lot of people complain about how armor is useless I disagree. Armor is more realistic now. In warband without mods you get top tier armor hit level 20 and you're basically worth a 100 men which I found fun but, ultimately could get boring very quickly. It makes sense that if you get slapped in the chest with a hammer on horseback no matter your armor because of momentum it's going to hurt so the combat at least to me makes more sense in several areas. Commands haven't changed nor have tactics which is unfortunate but, at least now you can't get into the mid game and then take over a whole faction by yourself because you're an unstoppable killing machine.

That said the updates are too frequent and most of them contain at best 100mbs of fixes but is handed to us as half a dozen gigs of just pointlessness because at the end of the day nothing about the game really improves on a grand scale and all those mods you spent HOURS searching for, downloading and then getting them to work instantly become useless because of said update.

Diplomacy is debatably even worse than warband in some ways and although it's a better concept it is wholly meaningless much like Total war Rome 2s political system. On top of that horse archers in the game are still an absolutely broken unit and in every playthrough I've had unless I join a faction that specifically fights Khuzait in the early game they will 100% end up owning both the north and south imperial factions as well as parts of the Nords, and Aserai and will continue to dominate until quite literally the only two factions that are left are the cav factions of khuzait and vlandia. Cav is still broken in my opinion and spears despite all the different types added still do nothing in the hands of AI against AI cav.

The game has been in development for almost a decade. That's 10 years with a full team of I believe 50 coders only to be released in early access at full price and with a half finished product. Absolutely unacceptable. You're telling me that in the 10 years of development and that it's actually been released that the biggest updates they've had are quite literally bug fixes with almost nothing new being added? 2 years of bug fixes? That's f***ing ridiculous. And the game is STILL sitting at a $50 product. That's basically extortion.

The game is fun with mods and even without mods can be fun to an extent. But, overall the game just isn't worth the price this is why i say I wish there was a neutral option because it's still entertaining despite all its flaws and it still has so much potential but, the price combined with the fact that despite 10 years of development and 2 years of updates has net such an incomplete game is moronic.

This game although not the best of the bunch is extremely entertaining and fun to play. The AI on some of the more extreme difficulties are simply ridiculous to beat and for those out there saying there not it's because they not only have played every other game in the series but have also but dozens of hours into simply researching the game and hundreds into playing it which is why the AI no longer gives them any sort of challenge. Now onto facts. The cons. Obviously with every game there are certain things that are less than pleasing. In this particular game for me it would be not only the politics system but as well as diplomacy. Diplomacy is simply and to the point no complexion whatsoever and to some that may be a good thing but to a player like me who craves a challenge and striving towards certain goals and things that I need or want makes the game so much more fun. The politics system is let's be honest folks a complete and absolute waste of time and a joke. It was so badly done I cringe everytime I see the screen. It's pointless and very rarely do I ever look at the politics screen unless absolutely neccessary. The release was a scandal it was supposed to be this great game and it wasn't. Sure the patches and everything made it better but it was the launch that makes or breaks a game not the patches. Furthermore this game requires a stuipdly good laptop or Pc in order to run it on max settings if you don't specifically have a Gaming computer forget about even trying to play this game cause it won't happen even on the lower settings. Now onto a different matter. Out of the 37 or 38 different playable factions you can only play roughly 12-14 in the main game with the free factions given. Meaning you need not 1 not 2 not even 3 but 5 DIFFERENT DLC in order to play the other 23-25 factions Is this a joke? Each DLC is 7.99 or 14.99 making you spend an astronomical 120 dollars on this game in order to get the full experience of all factions and units. Nevermind the fact that the game isn't even worth 60.00 However, the game does have it's pros. The game as said before is fun and entertaining on top of being addicting and it truly is a good game if you can look past it's rough history. It's units have a lot of detail and the graphics are amazing in some places and others just plain good and there's nothing better than watching a stampede of elphants killing your enemy by the hundreds. Some units can be overpowered but that's what makes them fun to play as. The multiplayer battles and campaign abilities make it fun to play with friends something that is cruical in any multiplayer format. This game recives a 7.5/10. I would recommend you wait for a summer sale of 75% off so you can get the emperor edition and dlc for 40-60 dollars cause otherwise the game simply isn't worth it.

This game boast an impressive amount of characters, items, and customization of each character. The game contains not only professional players but an impressive community. The strategy and teamwork required is quite a ridculous amount however once this game is understood it becomes more fun while still managing to be stressful. The game sadly has a community of very unhappy people who are 9 time out of 10 going to ridicule you for anything and everything as well as having a community that does not support casual players. This game is not for players new to Moba games I repeat it IS NOT meant for new Moba players. This game is very complex and hard to understand requiring you to sit down learn the items, characters, abilities and playing countless bot matches in order to learn how to make item builds on the fly. This is NOT the game for you if you want something simple or easy to understand. This game requires skill precision and ludicrous amounts of practice that may or may not pay off. Their is no teaching how to play this game it's do or die. Now it is not to say this cannot be fun however, a lot of anger and stress will come from playing this game professionally or trying to be professional since casual players are basically non-existent. I give this an overall rating of 7/10 simply because of the player base being filled with a plethora of egotistical ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This of course drops the rating severly due to the game REQUIRING you to play with other players.

This Medievil sandbox game is fun, enjoying and relaxing to play. The comabt is simplistic but also fun. The choices in this game are many from making your own empire to helping an already existing faction take over or just hop around each faction being a mercenary. The gameplay is easy to understand and fun and the added need of strategy in some battles makes the game that much more fun. However, the graphics as well as customization are to be desired as character customization is quite rough and very few options exists for facial hair, hair color, hair styles, and overall facial features. The graphics are there but look rough and edgy making the game hard to really appreciate it's true beauty. This game also boast an impressive skill set allowing for you to spec into many different weapons as well as skills and attributes. This game gets an overall of 8/10 with the graphics and customization spoiling it's potential.

This game is awe inspiring. Maintaing not only a multiplayer option but as well as great singleplayer action as well. The AI performs amazingly and is quite intelligent with very few if any at all bugs this makes the game almost perfect. It holds a quite sizable customization for creating your own races as well as what they look like. The randomly generated locations keeps the game interesting and the ability to put more than one created race into the game. The space strategy game is almost mouth-watering for people who love sci-fi and strategy it's a match made in heaven and put together so well you'd think that it was perfect. The game boast quite an impressive map size and different playstyles as well as limitations. Not only does it represent the realisticness of building these things like the need for energy and materials to make and run these stations and ships but also the need for food on planets makes it very realistic. The multiplayer is something that allows you to either ally with others and share the universe equally or tear each other apart for dominance allowing both co-op and a team deathmatch to be held. The graphics are equally amazing with the different planet, star, and black/worm hole models makes this a very beautiful game. This game is given a hands down Overall score of 10/10 with no real bugs or issues that I see or am intolerant of.

This game not only has astounding graphics for a free to play MMO but a very well put together storyline and gameplay. The mechanics are easy to understand although the controls can be awkward at times once the kinks are worken out the game plays fantastically. Not only does it provide an open world but it allows player to band together to do dungeons something which sadly most of the MMO's I have experience with do not do and the ones that do are sadly not free-to-play. The game allows a varied amount of playstyles allowing an outstanding option of 14 different playable classes as well as 4 different helpers allowing you a variety of combinations in combat styles. While the game does lack real character customization it is enough to appease me and others with it's simplistic nature if a little lack luster. Guilds and such are an absolute amazing addition and are very helpful and great to find friends and get help if you're stuck rather than look at forums allowing you to just keep playing. The game like most MMO's can be very grind oreiented so for people who like fast progression this games is not for you although you do level faster than most it isn't significant later on at the higher levels. The game overall is a 9.5/10 with the lack of character customization and slight bugs preventing that 10/10 score.

The gameplay is fantastic. Not only does this game require strategy but it also requires teamwork in order to win. Another thing is that the gods each have their own unique playstyle as well as having unique builds and abilities/passives which makes this game a haven for people of all playstyles. The only complaint is the matchmaking. It takes quite a while (at least for me) to find a match sometimes upwards of 5 minutes. Another complaint is the people sometimes but that's not something that is really fixable so it's why my only true complaint is matchmaking times. The people can be hard to work with at times simply because some of the newer people you're put with don't tend to take advice well. For someone like me coming off console into Pc sure I may not have the aiming skills but I do have the knowledge as well as the experience of builds and different gods due to playtime and research. However, it means nothing to the eyes of newer players. Otherwise the game contains different gamemodes giving a nice variety and as well as the maps for each game mode is different which is almost refreshing. Overall this game scores a 9/10 in my books with the time it takes to find matches ruining it a little for me.
