61 Hours played
I took a while to finally decided to buy Alien Isolation, but I'm so glad I did. This game is different than any other game I have ever played in my life. The game doesn't hold your hand and tell you exactly how to do everything and where to go which is in my opinion made the game more challenging and satisfying. I loved the atmosphere, the graphics and sound of Aliens. The music and sound capture 100% the original movie. Playing with a headphone makes you feel like you are back in 1979 watching another Alien movie, which I totally love. And that's how I recommend anyone to play it. I really enjoyed the saving system, it makes the game more strategic and tense. The backtracking also makes completely sense in a game like this. The game is slow and uses the first 2-3 hours just submersing you in it. Overall, this game is truly a masterpiece and it deserves to get all the praise and a proper sequel.
Yes, it does have some frustrating aspects, but for me, that's what makes the game so intriguing. The intermittent nature of the save stations really adds to the tension, especially since you have to wait a full 3 seconds before you actually save. The Alien caught me several times while saving, and I have to usually load the previous save (although sometimes dying while saving resets the Alien). It makes the game tense, and honestly it is SUCH a relief. The AI is incredible; I know there have been videos made about how the AI works, but I'm still convinced an actual Alien is chasing me and not a computer. It's that convincing. The graphics are stunning, even 5 years later. I don't know why some people said it wasn't visually good. You don't have to be an 'Alien' fan to appreciate the design and dedication these devs showed when creating the world. Also, Sevastopol is a decommissioned station ready for the scrap heap; part of the challenge of the game is “supposed” to be traversing this world; it's meant to create obstacles to your progress. The Working Joes are creepy, but I do feel that the middle third of the game is bogged down by them. That being said, they can present very difficult-to-kill enemies, as can humans. I even think the flamethrower adds in more problems than it helps. The Alien changes the way it looks for you as you progress, so it can become more immune to the flamethrower, making you use more fuel and thus need more and thus spend more time looking for it, and putting yourself at risk. It also angers the Alien and it comes back in increasingly short amounts of time. And the sound and music design....like don't get me started, it is probably one of the best of any horror game I've played in the past years, aside from Outlast and Layers of Fear. When you hear those heavy Alien footsteps...ugh it scares the crap out of me and I look for the nearest hiding place. The way the Alien growls and makes noise as it hunts for you is absolutely terrifying. You know when you've heard it hiss that it's spotted you, and unless you're able to break line of sight quickly, it will charge at you with a horrifying squeal before snacking on you. The sound makes the world seem immersive and "real"; I want to give a shout-out to the sound design team and the foley artists, they are truly gifted and have created such a convincing world. The added details like Ripley's sneakers squeaking or the zippers of her outfit moving as you sneak past enemies makes you feel loud and like they could spot you at any time. The calm but disturbing way the Working Joes talk make for some of the most memorable lines in the game. The soundtrack is incredible and it also is dynamic, changing with the proximity to enemies. Interestingly enough, it also backs off of the music and heightens the ambient sounds depending on the enemy's distance as well. This is became one of my favourite horror game ever, and I never get tired of playing it ( I played over 50 hours) while some parts are repetitive, yes, and you can predict some behaviours from the Joes and humans, the parts with the Alien are absolutely terrifying, and getting caught by the Alien never failed to make me jump (either physically or internally, when it makes your heart skip a beat).

Now for the minus and bad parts=
It does have some control flaws, and I'm not convinced that the voice acting was the best (but I did love the inclusion of 'Aliens' actor Will Hope as Marshall Waits). The story is weak, and sometimes your progress does feel like it was all for naught, which is frustrating. Game’s story is so long for a horror game. Outlast 1 with it’s DLC was 8 hours, Outlast 2 was 7-8 hours. In a horror game I want to finish the game in one night ( 10 PM to 7 AM for example) But in Alien Isolation you can not do it. You have to give your 2-3 days to finish, to get %100 you have to give your 5 days at least.
Overall=
In overall it's solid. More positive things than negative things. Definitely worth a play by any self-respecting horror game fan, even if you're not familiar with Alien stuff. (Which I’m not an Alien fan but I’m a huge horror game fan that I played nearly all of the horror games with %100 Achievements)
For other Achievement Hunters like me, to get %100 In this game is HARDER than Outlast 1 WhistleBlower and probably harder than Outlast 2. The hardest achievement is “ One Shot ” Which you have to finish this long game without dying. Game itself 15 hours long for first play however if you want to get %100 you should at least spend 45 Hours in the game.
Conclusion=
Sorry for the long comment, but I felt I had to add in my opinion because I'd like people to experience one of the best games I've ever played (personally), and not miss out on a terrifying but satisfying adventure.

Strongly Recommended.
