One of my favorite games this year! I loved every single bit of it! The story is well-told, and the characters are well-developed. The game isn’t flawless; some side quests were a bland and unadventurous slog, and some mini-games were infuriating. The game is easy on easy and challenging on normal difficulty, but the hard mode is a treat, especially for some main game and combat sim bosses. You may need to grind a bit to take on the hard mode though. And yes, the game excels in the combat and music departments! The excellent combat and fantastic music make the journey a pure pleasure!
