Personally I have liked the game since I got it. Official servers take LOTS of time, so if you can't use 5-7 hours taming a dino, I recommend finding an Unofficial server. These can be a bit more unreliable since the server litteraly can be taken down any moment.

I have played on both.
I have been sitting and raging over Wildcard. (Who haven't by now? xD)
I have had my own server.
I have had my ups and downs in it.

Yet I would still say that it was worth my 1850 hours that I have used in it. I would recommend playing it with friends though ^^ It makes it all that tad more fun.
