Early Access Review
Raft is a flawed, yet admirable attempt at the overworked survival genre. Unfortunately, what unique elements Raft does possess are ultimately overshadowed by the lifeless, barren world that the player resides in. Despite these aspects, Raft has a lot to offer and tons of potential for the future. The game has been given a lot of love by the developers and community alike, and is well worth your time.

Cuphead is another example of how breathtaking indie games can be and the love that the creators put into it. The soundtrack and visuals are astonishing and truly unique, the gameplay is wonderfully challenging and worth every second you put into it. Cuphead is not to be passed up.

Hollow Knight is the perfect blend of morbidity and charm, with a unique concept and phenomenal gameplay. I would even argue that the game is being sold for too little and is worth four times the price. Sinking your teeth into the Hollow Knight world is something you won't regret.

Hearts of Iron IV is a fantastic strategy game that makes you feel like you are truly in control, and gives you the ability to lead your country to what you believe is the best suited path for the war. My only complaint would be that all new content and fixes to broken content are added to the game in the form of overly expensive DLC, but that does not weigh the game down enough to make it bad, just frustrating.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim feels less and less like a RPG as you go through the game, about 20 hours into the game, you start to realize that all the dungeons are the same, how watered down the skill and combat systems are, and how none of your role playing choices even matter because you can do whatever you want anyways. The world feels empty as there are barely any NPCs in even the biggest cities, and most of them have almost no personality to speak of. Despite all this, Skyrim is a gorgeous game with lots of content to dig into.

Although Ark: Survival Evolved could be accused of just being another mediocre open-world survival game, the dinosaurs, visuals, and the hidden story are more than enough to differentiate itself from the genre. It may not be perfect, but no game is.

Portal 2 is an experience that you can not miss, the characters are quirky and lovable, the gameplay is truly unique and is worth every cent you pay for it. This is one of the best games on Steam.

Grand Theft Auto V dominates the third person, open world, shooter genre and with good reason. Its story is simple enough to keep players who are interested primarily in action engaged and has enough nuance to keep those in it for the story and action involved as well. The graphics and visuals are just stunning and make the game even more enjoyable, I highly recommend this game, sadly, I can not say the same about Grand Theft Auto Online. GTA Online takes most of the fun out of the game, giving you very repetitive missions with almost no reward. Just stick to single-player, you will be much happier.

Terraria is a wonderful experience from start to finish, not overly complex and has a enough content to keep a player engaged for a significant amount of time.
