½ cup granulated sugar (100 g)
¾ cup brown sugar (165 g), packed
1 tsp salt
½ cup unsalted butter (115 g), melted
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour (155 g)
½ tsp baking soda
4 oz milk or semi-sweet chocolate chunks (110 g)
4 oz dark chocolate chunks (110 g), or your preference
Preparation:
Whisk sugars, salt, and melted butter until a lump-free paste forms.
Add egg and vanilla, whisk until light ribbons fall off the whisk.
Sift in flour and baking soda, fold with a spatula (avoid overmixing).
Fold in chocolate chunks, chill dough for at least 30 minutes or overnight for richer flavor.
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C), line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop dough onto the sheet, leaving space between cookies.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges barely brown.
Cool completely before serving. Enjoy!
