Great game with the many in-depth aspects of history. The AI always does something wonky making every playtrough completely different while also following certain paths (Unification of Spain through events, Unification of Japan, PU between Poland and Lithuania). Highly addictive game.
For new players the DLC are most definitely necessary because they contain key aspects of the game.
