absolute mess of a vr game.

im rather experienced with vr as ive had a couple different headsets for the better part of a decade.

how they managed to release such a broken uncomfortable mess and trick people into buying it is impressive.
you take a bad game and port it to vr badly, and would you look at that? its bad. whoop-de-doo

the fact that this 14 year old game on the gamebryo engine can even run on modern computers at all is a miracle.
also this game is amazing

i played it a few times. i had fun, i suppose. but this is just not a very good game.
its got nothing to say, besides equating synths to african american slaves in america via The Railroad faction. then the game tries to say that questioning the humanity of synths and whether they deserve rights is reasonable. Don't think they were intentionally saying "black people might not deserve rights" but at the very least it shows the story was not well thought through.
New vegas still gets people debating over which is the best faction to side with 14 years later. in fallout 4, everyone agrees every faction is kinda stupid. thats why they side with the tech-hoarding fascists who have the coolest gear.
this game is just not worth your time. its not gonna teach you anything or make you feel a certain way. its a mindless gameplay loop of shoot and loot with some copy-paste characters yapping occasionally. go play something better.

i like it. its tough to get into, and its quite long and takes a lot of time, but its well made and interesting

used to settle an argument between me and my friends about whether 100 horses or 1 gorilla with the brain of a dolphin would win in a fight.

they made this game a lot harder since i used to play.
the downside is that as a busy person i have less time to get good at it.
the upside is hat when i do have the time to play its much less formulaic and quite a bit more interesting. youre forced to use reasoning to deduce the ghost type rather than just gather some evidence and call it a day.
overall, great game, especially with friends
