For me this is the best Amnesia game.
All of them are great, but this one, is holy grail of whole series.
Setting itself during the peak of Great War (1916/17) is amazing.
Games set during years 1914/18 with horror genre, and mystery, is very rare.
But Frictional Games did it perfectly.
Hopefully we will see more horror games set in this war setting.

The atmosphere and sound design in this game is also amazing.
When you visit new location, its always different.
Like in communication room, music is playing.
Angry rats are eating dead bodies.
Or enemy soldiers far away will start shooting on you.

Another great thing is change in mechanic.
In previous amnesia games, main thing was and always be the source of light.
Before it was lantern which needed oil, but here you get flashlight, which works bit differently.
And yes i am talking about that sound when you try to turn it on. It takes some time to charge it, but you need to make it in safe places, because that sound which produce when you charge it, will alert main monster in the game.

Another new thing is weapon arsenal.
There is many new things you can choose from. Revolver to molotov, grenades (also gas one) and many other things.
Like torch and secret weapon which you need to find.
But most important thing is generator and fuel.
You will need this constantly, if you want to progress in the game, so save some fuel, for important things you will need later.

Game also contains many colectibles.
Those are dogtags of dead soldiers, which you will need their code from it, documents of everything what happened, and how it happened. And documents with audio, similiar like in first Amnesia.
And photographs of many things what happened inside of the bunker.

For first players i recommend you to play it on Normal difficulty.
Hard difficulty is mostly for players who will play it on second time.
And Easy difficulty is bit overpowered, because it contains a lot more checkpoints, than in Normal or Hard difficulty.

As i say it before, this is for me the best Amnesia game ever made.
Not because of setting in first world war, but also for story and the whole mystery in this game.
But also how this games makes it more scary and stresfull, when you progress outside of your safepoint area.
This is probably best horror game not only of 2023, but hopefully it will be one of the best horror game of this decade.
