Seems fun, I have some issues with some of the changes but not bad. But until Epic is removed, this review remains negative. Update: The desync in this game is worse than Iron Rain. Me and my teammates can be all shooting at the same enemy and hit each other because they're in different locations than on their side, and so is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enemies. Absolutely disgraceful how badly they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the netcode, EDF5 is so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ better than this trash.

Edit: As I've played this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ all the way to completion, it has been the buggiest(pun not intended) mess of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I've ever played from this company. I've been playing EDF games for over a decade, and used to honestly believe Sandlot couldn't ♥♥♥♥ up this series. It was too simple. Only American developers were stupid enough to ♥♥♥♥ it up. Somehow, I was proven wrong. Somehow they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up entirely and it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible release.

The story is alright. The writing is better, but it's not insanely better. It honestly feels a bit worse in execution because they tried too hard for a B movie style script and now it's just a mediocre script. It's not so bad that it's good anymore, it's just mid.

The new drone stuff they added to Air Raider really makes him more fun, and mantelling is nice... when I intend to use it, but automantelling over every surface I walk into that's slightly over knee height is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ infuriating enough I almost wish they never added it as a feature.

And uh, that's it? The rest of the additions to the other classes are barely interesting at best, and actively harmful at worst. Like the grenade list *sounds* cool, but then you get ♥♥♥♥ like the robot bombs being stuck under there and nerfed because they're not primary weapons, they're grenades.

But I could really ignore the mid-tier plot and the lackluster upgrades, honestly they could've just rereleased EDF5 with some new missions and I'd of been happy. But the *CONSTANT* desync issues when playing multiplayer, that are seemingly worse on some maps and worser on others, has led to me and my teammates killing each other over and over a common occurance because, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious how it works out this way but if you can't see where your teammates are, you'll set them on fire with a flamethrower *♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FREQUENTLY*, especially in any of the numerous underground segments were the desync is worse than any other map because your teammates just walk into walls on your side and then randomly teleport around the map. Like I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MIND BOGGLED that this ♥♥♥♥ was allowed to release, I've seen indie games from solo devs with no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funding that are less buggy than this garbage. HOW they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this up after getting it right for YEARS I don't know. It's pathetic, it's sad, and it's a garbage release. After I finish this ♥♥♥♥, I'm going back to EDF5 or ♥♥♥♥ even Iron Rain was better than this, and it also had terrible desync. *Just not as bad as 6.*

One of the best games I've ever played, sequel to some of the other best games I've ever played. These people still make games properly and deserve every penny.

Unless you want to pay extra, all the guns in this game suck. The strategems are neat, but they're basically a worse version of the EDF Air Raider air strikes. Fun with friends, not worth full price, would buy it for maybe $5-$10 on sale at most.

Used to be fun at launch, it's a buggy, cheater-ridden mess of a game now. Wouldn't recommend to anyone new until they fix their net code and get rid of stun gun.

Edit: Every update actively makes this game worse, genuine talent on the developers part to make a working game a buggy mess.

Genuine ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a game, has good ideas, but the developers must've been high on molly trying to make this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attempt at an EDF game. Multiplayer desyncs constantly, if you grapple to a building and change where you're looking the camera bugs out and you have to regrapple to the building to fix it, the menus flash and glitch constantly, the voice acting is inconsistent, worse than EDF and doesn't even have any self awareness that EDF usually does to make the bad acting funny and good. The fencer class wannabe is slow as balls and useless as hell, he barely does any more damage than a normal trooper, but has to take way more damage because you can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dodge ♥♥♥♥ with that snail ass piece of ♥♥♥♥, and the wing diver wannabe is hilariously bad compared to the prowl rider for *FLYING* which is STUPID. Why can I fly better with a grappling hook than the flying type with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jetpack? IDIOT DEVELOPERS. Y'all should've hired a tier above high schooler hobbyists for this project, this is sad and pathetic, and I genuinely could've made better netcode for the multiplayer in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WEEKEND. GET YOUR ♥♥♥♥ TOGETHER.

The multiplayer in this game is awful for playing coop. If you plan to play with someone else, play something else.

The game is literally designed and patented to piss you off 80% of the time. I just play this game with my brother, don't recommend it at all. Utterly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, wouldn't wipe my ass with this game.
