Limp Bizkit is still better

With all due respect, the Deftones were never a Nu Metal band. They just happened to come into popularity around the same time as some of the other bands listed here. Their music was always more harmonically complex and interesting than anything Limp Bizkit or Slipknot were doing, and they famously turned down a touring slot with Korn so they wouldn't be lumped in with that scene. The fact that they're one of the few bands from that era that have endured speaks to their talent and originality ... not their membership in this lame subgenre. I'm 50 and I've been to many Deftones shows over the decades and I can tell you from experience that fans of the Deftones would be more likely to listen to Tool or the Dillinger Escape Plan than any of the bands you've lumped together in this article.
