This videogame is dope! Would charge ➤ unleash the beast ➤ meditate ➤ ultimate charge maximum ki ➤ Ginyu Force moving out! ➤ rushing launch kick ➤ Dodoria headbutt ➤ activate Beerus super soul ➤➤ full power Emperor's Death Beam to obliterate anything anyday! On the other hand, the bit more simple, traditional rushing launch kick ➤➤ x10 kamehameha in da butt never gets old either.

Simply the best and the most expanded Dragonball experience to date coming from a 25 year long fan who played almost every Dragonball title up and until Xenoverse 2. It's a perfect blend of fighting action game with mmorpg elements. It improves so much over it's predecessor with a huge open hub up to 7 times bigger then Toki Toki City with no portals to travel between areas, improved visuals, new story and way more content.

This is my choice for the Steam Awards 2023 nominations in the category "labour of love" since after more then 7 years of being released, it still receives alot of love and dedication with many big free updates and new paid dlc adding many old and new famous characters of the series aswell as their iconic moves, new awoken skills and plenty more other cool stuff.

➧ Content✔ the game offers an incredible amount of content. There's ton upon tons of equipment, skills, super souls and many other stuff like artworks and figures to be collected and as Japanese lore dictates, it's mostly all hidden behind a massive grind to be able to improve with offcours the necessarily RNG factor added which means even more grinding meaning, improving even further! But that's what it's all about right, grinding to become better and stronger to then do some more grinding to become even more better and stronger until you reach that barrier you can't break through to then continue do even more grinding until you break that barrier over and over again to become even better and more stronger to eventually overcome your own limits someday. That's the entire philosophy behind Dragonball and why I like the franchise and grinding so much! Repetition is key to successfully becoming very good at something.

➧ Story✔ as for the story it is far better and more expanded then the first XV story but the original XV1 story can be replayed aswell thx to a recent update. The story offers many twist on the series original storyline. You gotta make your own avatar and have the duty as time patroller to fix broken and distorted timelines. There's also plenty of side missions to attend to. The story can only be done with the OC for the most part but there's many other game mode where you can both play with the OC aswell as most of the characters from the series and even customize those to your own needs. There's also many training instructor that will train with you and teach you their signature moves.

➧ Game modes✔ besides the story mode there's plenty of other modes aswell that can be played in solo, co-op and versus. There's pve Parallel Quests that can be done solo or together with 2 comrads to take on all kinds of twisted timeline missions so be prepared to face off against an empowered Hercule or even a super villain Yamcha, yeah poor lads deserve some extra credit. these missions offer some fun and challenging scenario's and reward with all kinds of equiment and skills. Offcours these drops are RNG so expect to repeat some missions up to 30 times or even more. Some can be abit tedious to do but I like that as it helps to try and learn new methods to be able to adept and deal in a more efficient way with the tediousness. There's also player battles that can be done against computer or human opponents with balanced stats or custom stats in a 1v1,2v2 and 3v3 mode. Then there's the World Tournament that occurs from time to time which is only for multiplayer versus battles. Furthermore there's boss and crystal raids with the first being a 6vE boss raid and the latter a 5v1 boss raid. There's also many more solo school, challenge and advancement quests to be done aswell as several other modes.

➧ Gameplay✔ now then, the most important part, the gameplay. The fighting is simply phenomenal with alot of freedom to give you that Dragonball feeling like you're living the series. There's alot of depth in the combat with many hidden mechanics to learn and master. The learning curve can be big when not using the cheesy methods that is. There are some crazy difficult combo's to master with very tiny windows to connect and chain them or to perfect guard or counter against them all in over the top level of speed. There's 3 stats: energy being hp, ki being energy for using supers and ultimates and then there's stamina for flying at fast speed, block and evasion. The stamina factor adds even more depth to the combat and make it far less braindead. Stamina in this game is as important as it is in Soul games with no stamina meaning certain death.

➧ Visuals✔ I think still holds up to this day standard for anime games. I do play in 4k all maxed out and I really enjoy watching the beauty of this game especially with all the particles of the ki blasts and punches and kicks aswell as the aura's from all the many different awoken skills and the shine they emit on the character clothes. The colors are gorgeous and the backgrounds look like artworks. I always liked that on Dragonball and Xenoverse offers nonetheless. I can watch kamehameha's or death beams piercing through big bullies all day!

➧ Soundtrack✔ as with every db installment the game ost is great and there's a few paid dlc that add some of the ost from the series however, after playing for several dozen of hours it's nice to have some variation and what is better then to listen to all the ost from the entire series even if have heard so many times before, it's still the best suitable music for Dragonball. There's also good covers, remixes and original songs from composers such as Friedrich Habetler and Saiyan Enigma. During my grind however I came upon an awesome band as nice alternative thanks to the blessed YT RNG turning on. The band is called dancewiththedead and fits the Dragonball atmosphere very well and gives the perfect flow for the fighting.

➧ Character creation✔ the cc is great with 5 races to choose from; Majin, Saiyan, earthling, Namekian and the Frieza race. The first three having gender option and the latter 2 not cause Namekians are all oviparous males whom reproduce by vomiting eggs. As for the Frieza race, it remains a mysterie how they reproduce. That said each race and gender has many unique and hidden stats and abilities aswell as different sizes having different stats etc. There's many customization options to choose from and the OC can be leveled up. The current level cap is 120. There's six attributes: Health, Max Ki, Max Stamina, Basic Attacks, Strike Supers and Ki Blast. Each level adds a little into your attributes aswell as receiving points for each level up that can be invested in any of the six attributes.

➧ Layered equipment✔ there's so many different clothing each with it's own attribute stats but there is no layered version. Instead we get special very powerful tools called qq bangs. Yet another marvelous invention of our incredible Bulma. These must be crafted by mixing equipment and items and is also RNG dependent. These neat craftings will override the stats from the equiped clothing with it's own stats. The strongest qq bangs can even far exceed the stats on the highest tier clothing. This way any clothing can be worn without having to trouble yourself about the stats.

➧ Photomode✔ it features a very nice camera modus with the ability to pause and play the action frame by frame to perfectly capture them finest of moments.

➧➧ Conclusion, would I recommend this game? Hell yeah, over 9000 For sure!

Truely an awesome videogame from a great developer studio. Challenging and fun gameplay which feels very satisfying. The story is good and will keep you busy for many dozens of hours and there's lots of repetitivity value aswell. The loot system can be abit overwhelming though. Expect many hours just looking at compairing all of the millions of parts of gear in this game.

In the end this is the closest we can get to the "Onimusha" series atm. To everyone into the "Souls" genre, your soul is mine and this game is certainly highly recommended by me and my Waifu will most definitely Tschiiiiiiing again!

Ps: Expect to die ALOT!

Edit: Forgot to mention it's even more fun with friends! :)

First of all I've always been a huge fan of old school arcade shooters with the Serious Sam franchise being my favorite one ever since I played the original TFE back in 2001. I really enjoy the endurance horde shooter, dancing with enemies and their projectiles on appropriate music aspect with the no cover all Sam methode and there is no other game out there that brings it as good as this one. The massive open area's combined with the endless hordes send at you by Mental and the serious epic soundtrack delivered by Damjan really delivers very intense battles. It's a pure mayhem of glorious carnage. Doom slayer may be tough but Sam is way tougher! Who needs armor anyway? Just a casual shirt and jeans that's all Sam needs to dance and jump around. Doom slayer may have to deal with an entire hell dimension and more but what Sam does is like taking on the entire Empire all by himself with Palpatine being Mental.

So far for the intro, abit more about the actual game now. I played all main SS games and must say that SS4 is by far the best one yet imho with the biggest potential for modders but I will comeback to this later as the game alrdy offers so much fun Vanilla wise. The visual fidelity for this game may not be the best nor is the storyline but the awesome gameplay makes up for that bigtime. If a game like Doom Eternal wanted tesame massive open levels with tesame absurd amount of enemies at once on screen then they would have to seriously downgrade into their visual department aswell.

It may have had some issues on release and abit of a rough start but many of those alrdy got fixed and the Croteam is doing their best to deliver even more good patches to make the game even better performance and gameplay wise. But then again games are rarely "perfect" on it's release. Even Doom Eternal had it issues on release. And don't forget this masterpiece was made by a very small Indie studio of around 40 ppl and with a very tiny budget and all made from scratch tech compaired to those tripple A studio's who get insane fundings and easily have 10 times the amount of artists. I would like to see what they would deliver when only having what Croteam got. I really like how Croteam works around the limitations of their engine and their hardware/software. They have to constant find ways to bypass them and put alot of time and effort into that already alone.

SS4 has a vastly improvement over everything it's predecessors had to offer. May it be graphics, animations, enemies, weapons and the size of the game, all has been seriously improved imo. As for the soundtrack that remains tesame high quality as it's always been alike the top soundtrack delivered by godlike music composer Damjan. The new nature tech looks really incredible, the animations still may look abit clunky but that's just what gives this game it's unique style and charm, levels can be very massive, there's a big variety in enemies with alot cool new and well fitting additions to it and the guns feel more powerfull then ever before. The gibbing feels very satisfying and the dual wielding any weapon adds for more depth into the shooting. The many new difficulty options like enemy multipliers up to x11 are insane and lot's of fun to experiment with. The humor and one liners are hillarious as always.

I'm really looking forward to see what the community will create and come up with once the editor has been released. There's so much potential. The game may lack a survival mode as for now but I'm sure modders can easily implant one for us. Imagine having a massive map like the Breakfast in France one. You start in a small village or something with a car and need to drive to different locations going from a small farm to a castle and even a bigger city each time having some objectives to do there and getting better guns and bigger hordes of enemies. The car will be seen in first person and 3 other players can also ride on with it. During the driving it's all seen from inside the car perspective and need to keep all kind of enemies like super speed vampires at bay untill you reach the next destination to get fuel and guns and ammo aswell as protect some ppl and stuff from always stronger getting hordes.

My nomination for the game of the year is: Serious Sam 4! It's highly recommended by me! Cheers and big respect to the entire Croteam! Keep the horde coming!

Have a good one lads and never keep your finger off that trigger!

Ps: I'll probably edit this review abit more later on but for now I'm done with writing as this alrdy took me hours to pin down and need some gaming now to relax abit first.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!

The very best FPS franchise ever! 10/10

Hey Mental, come and dance with the one man Stone army! No cover, all Sam!

They don't care what we used to be or what we wanted to do. If they thought this was gonna be easy, they came to the wrong f*cking planet! Followed by a bazillion shoutings AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA and a serious amount of bulletsplosions, gore and bone splatter.

SERIOUSLY HYPED for SS4! Glorious carnage highly recommended!

Ps: The Croteam music composer Damjan is GODLIKE! As is their entire team of developers, RESPECT to all of them!

Keep the damn horde coming Croteam!
