Alright, as someone who has played this for nearly 1000 hours, for 3~ish years...
This is my first time ever playing an FPS and as such, I fell for the gameplay and visuals.

Back in 2021, I found this game on Steam and saw it was a free open Beta.

Now, don't let this be a turn off for you,
but the levels don't matter. At all.

You can be top of the line, hero of the game and still be matched with a person that just started the game that day. Or vice versa.

Allow me to explain why this is a bad idea: No skill-based matchmaking makes for a bad experience, in my opinion.

I cannot tell you how many times I've joined a match, had 3 bots on my team and the other team has 4 players, all of which have the skill level of developers on the game.

What happens during a match? You may ask.
90% of the time, there's at least one player on the enemy team that carries their team while the others fly off into the abyss at the bottom of a map. Yes, I have been the person to carry my team more times than I'd like to admit, does that redeem the fact my teammates are bots that have an IQ of below 2? Not really.

What about the game appeals to many people but not to me?
I will say I was fooled by the thin veneer of polish they have on the game into thinking it was more than it really was.
What I mean, is that beyond the meaningless grind of levels and funny numbers going up, there is literally nothing else happening beyond yourself and the bots going through the motions from day-in and day-out. None of it matters.
Yes, I spent nearly 11 months in total of hours, and it didn't matter. Yes, I feel cheated in a way, but that's on me for falling for it.

How do you know that your teammates are bots?
Usually, they walk instead of run.
They aim perfect every time,
and not once will you see a bot miss a shot unless you are out of the line-of-sight for them in the time it takes for them to notice you. I have in my experience, been able to evade death from a bot once or twice in a match.

In conclusion, I think this game has great ideas. Both visually and mechanically.
The thing it suffers from is inconsistency, it keeps you guessing and hoping for a better match.

As someone who has 800~ hours, hear me when I say: That better match will only occur when the matchmaking system is redone.
