My coworker is a big dude who always makes sure I get to my car just in our parking lot, and in the instances where I have to wait for a ride, he always waits until my ride arrives before leaving. Neither of us in intrested in the other, (as far as I know) and it's even kind of awkward, but I still appreciate it, because I understand he's nervous I'll get attacked if we split. I would aways rather have him there then be alone when a stranger appears. Some people may think it's old fashioned or sexist, but I think it's really great and sweet when men are obviously aware of he dangers a woman could face and try to help you.
