If you're the kind of gamer who enjoy shooters but doesn't enjoy slow times or anything like that, don't buy this game. Simply do not.

If you're the kind of gamer who likes slow games with survival aspects, then by all means go for it. Take note though you will probably go upwards of three hours without seeing a single soul and then get wasted by a bush wookie.

Or in my case, spend three hours looting, trying to find ammo, yada yada. Head out to Staroye outpost, see a guy and think, "Oh ♥♥♥♥, someone I can finally kill." So you track him for a bit cuz he doesn't know you're there. Then, in the blink of an eye, he lags from one spot on your screen all the way to another and before you can really react you're getting swiss cheesed. You pop two or three shotgun shells to his domepiece but they don't work, he has the power of lag on his side.

So naturally, you're pissed that you spent that long doing nothing but wandering a map looting only to get schwacked by some laggy prick in the wilderness. Then they have the gall to trash talk you, in Portuguese, that probably explains the lag.

The above is only one of several events that have, over the course of time, made me despise this game as much as I want to actually enjoy it.

Put short, if you like being punished as a freshspawn, and getting cucked after spending so much time getting the loot you have, but love survival games, then get DayZ. It's better played with a group, I've had fun that way.

If you don't like any of those though. Stay away.

Yeah, the game has a mixed rating. Which is as expected granted the rather lack luster initial release. Hell, it was even what pushed me away on my other steam account. Too much grinding and too much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Skipping ahead to today however, I see the game has improved quite a bit. It still has some aspects that could go to be fixed for sure, but I love that the developer is actively listening to the player base and adding new features. One of the biggest and most ambitious update that I'm looking forward to is the open world. It shows that the devs are listening to players suggestions and are actively trying to better the game.

It's a tad sad to see games with potential get shot down just because of bad reviews from initial launch, it is a crippling blow to many indie games.

Despite some things that bug me still, they are minor and are easily overlooked. I personally recommend this game. Fun to play both alone and with a group. Player base is global so you will have an easy time finding someone who speaks your language. And just a good way to use up spare time.

Honestly I like the game quite a bit. Decent graphics and the default control setting is manageable but you can of course always chage it to your liking. Now the game DOES have it's bugs and stuff like that, but then again it is only in beta so it has plenty of room for progress. The loot system is nice and you can find supplies, ammo, guns, etc pretty much everywhere with how common it all is. PVP is decent, I got my first kill within an hour and I've discovered that many guns have their own little quirks with how they fire and what the bullet drop is. So all in all I give this game a good rating and I look forward to its progression in the future.

An amazing game overall. With frequent updates and tweaks making the game even more fun to play and harder to survive. I've played this game so long and have made numerous friends on here. When it comes to stories this is game that will give you plenty. One my favorite example's would be when i was the leader of a "Faction" on a faction war rp server. We started off as the "Loners" and used the base kit the starter gave us. We roamed the map, wiping up other real factions and made a base on oulton's isle. Things were so much fun, between murdering the map and being complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ back at base it was a great time. We were even quote on quote slave owners XD a noob named vinny wandered upon our base while we were farming our berries and we forced him to farm for us after my soldiers killed him multiple times. He then became our "BerrySlaveVinny" and expanded our farm. Still to this day me and this guy are friends and we now call ourselves the Colt brothers after wiping out a group of highly geared guys with just our colts. So, basically if you want a free, fun game I'd highly recommend Unturned

Any positive thing I had to say can go down the drain. This game is a condensed cesspool of toxicity. Solo player new to the game? Ha, good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck. 40 some odd hours put into this game and I only accomplished being murdered time and time again. Spawn, grind, die. That's really all it is. I got a whopping two bases up ever so far and both were lost the very same day. If you're a masochist, you'll love this game. If not, well play for yourself and find out. Sure it's fun some times and there's some weird moments but those are few and far between. Play with a group or don't play at all.
