I have never played a Simulator game before, albeit maybe a Farming Simulator for maybe 30 minutes prior as a trial out of boredom. I recently watched a streamer/Youtuber play this live and for some reason, it drew me in. For something simple as basically a company owner simulator, it has some addicting factors behind it, yet I can't explain why exactly, it's one of those game you HAVE to play to understand.

Gameplay is relatively simple, the tutorial stages are perfect and gets you into the game at a great pace. Keybinds, for the most part are really good and there are a great selection of settings when it comes to graphics and audio. If you're looking for a game to pass the time, this does the job perfectly, I did find myself playing for nearly 8 hours straight at one point. If you don't mind a grind but want a challenge as to how to be a manager, then this is the game for you.

HOWEVER

It doesn't come without it's flaws:

1) I found myself completing the game real quick. Once you get to the end game, there's really nothing to work for, once you all have the upgrades at 5, the game will probably sit in your folder, just waiting for new updates.

2) You typically find yourself cleaning/painting the most which as an owner, is a bit mundane and can get very repetitive real quick. Yes, your focus is to make sure you're constantly on top of deliveries, fuel deliveries etc but that within itself, is not much of a challenge once you get the hang on it. Footprints shouldn't affect the cleanliness bar as much and the trash cans fill up way too quickly, especially during the party bus event, but, it doesn't seem to have too much of a negative impact so maybe it's not that big of a deal.

3) The events are lackluster. The party bus is probably the more fun event as you know, more then likely, if you're stocked, you're about to make bank provided you're prepared. Dennis and the sandstorm events, become an annoyance after a certain time, especially since the AI driving is questionable, to put it into nice words. Of course, you can disable them, but why would you? Nothing else to much offer without the events.

4) Performance was my main complaint about this game. It starts off just fine, no issues, but I had to eventually turn down settings as I got later into the game, especially after Population 4. Granted, there was a patch released to aid with the crashing and it has worked for the most part, but I'm certain you get memory leaks after maybe 90 minutes of playtime. It could just be my PC as it's not the most modern, but I have seen others complaining about the same issue so I thought I'd just mention it.

5) The 'upgrades' to the station (Not the levelled upgrades) don't actually provide any benefit other than cosmetic, it would be nice to see the pedestrian AI use the benches or basketball course or picnic area. I have no issues with cosmetic only, but it would just make the game feel more 'alive' if that makes sense.

6) I am certain some items the customers can buy are bugged and as the performance degrades over time, the cash register 'mini game' can be an annoyance with items randomly flying off or disappearing for no reason at all, causing you to fail or on very rare occasions, making it impossible to finish so you have to reload your save. No customer in my save file was buying the construction hat and sunglasses are almost pointless to have apart from maybe 2 styles, considering the amount you can buy and the shelves provided, they're not a good investment which is a shame. Again, this could be intentional but it's just something I don't like personally.

This game 100% needs more content and something more to work for, but I understand there are patches on the way which will include a car wash and a diner as a separate game with your gas station save file being used. I however, wish for the diner to be an expansion rather than it's own title, so please consider that.

Other than the flaws I found personally, this is just my own opinion of course, for the price, the game is still worth the buy and given how quick the developers have provided updates, I'm looking forward to seeing where this game will go. I really do hope this isn't just a 'project' then forgotten about to move onto the next.
