Another game that is unplayable.Steam should really stop selling games that the low to medium pc user can't use.The description recommends minimum requirements that are so out of touch with reality. If you've got, for instance, an i7 GTX1050ti or Gtx1080ti you'll be laughing at this but the vast majority of gamers are laptop/pc users and casual users at that. They are the lifeblood of Steam and they spend good money on games that turn out to be unplayable.Personally I am going to upgrade eventually, however,if Steam continues to rip off gamers they will end up with a very bad reputation. If they haven't got one already! Surely this was supposed to be enjoyable not an arms race.

The first thing I would like to say is that I have over 3000 hours of gameplay. So I've been there done that and got the tshirt.
I bought this game way back when and in the beginning it was an advance on Simcity for me and I really enjoyed the base game, however,as time goes by you are sucked in( by design or fault) to enhance the gameplay experience by downloading
DLC,mods and assets.
At first, a couple of DLC,mods and assets later, the game becomes totally different and there is the crux, the workshop bombards you daily with yet more and more; some of it useless some useful. You are now hoist on your own petard.
What is the problem?
The problem is that the base game has become totally remote and unplayable from where the community apires it to be.
If your pc is a potato you have no chance. Keeping up with the the constant race to the which top requires you to keep upgrading.
so not only does the original game become remote it becomes more expensive!
What is my solution?Either you have to find yourself a "happy" medium, abandon the arms race or just hope that Paradox
finally sees sense and invests it's time in bringing out a game that is playable,an asset editor that actually functions as that;so you dont have to learn Blender etc and stop trying to polish a t''d.

Good game. You can while away many an hour.Points of note:whatever you do the game is repetitive and whatever you do when it allows you to win you will,so don't get frustrated by the AI.Controls are good and easy to learn, not complicated like some games I could mention but won't here.Recent DLC have been good and well thought out, once you get used to them.

Well here we go again. Now whether this a regressive step or not remains to be seen.We seem to have gone from a "green" agenda to industrialisation (not the other way round) if you know what I mean! If I'm being positive that could mean that the modders and asset makers could evolve new industries, you know wind tubine, solar panel etc factories. If I'm being negative we could end up with more plastic, nuclear, cheap clothes, etc factories.
I look forward to the farming, forestry, fishing and green industry posssibilities.
Finally this time I won't rant on about the modders catching up,you boys and girls have a hard enough time as it is,but I will warn any noobies that it is always chaos after a new DLC is launched and you don't necessarily get all you expect i.e some of the excellent mods already in existence being incorporated in the base game.
Good luck everyone out there!
To Paradox thank you ,maybe the next DLC could include the service sector?

Here we go again.New DLC new problems. You look forward to something.Count down the days believe this lastest thing will enhance your city/town/village(depending on your computer) building and what do we get ,just like last time back to year zero!In other words nothing works no mods, no assets can be placed even though you have everything in place and error messages all over the place! This has become tedious. You just get everything in place to build yet another, whatever and you have to switch everything off to start from year zero.I know the modders catch up and the asset makers are already downloading to the workshop and we'll all get use to the new way of doing things, but really, why do we have to go through this? Please Paradox include some of the excellent mods into the game and make an asset editor(that used to work way back when) work.Give us the framework that works and stop putting us through this misery.I love this game but I'm beginning to tire of it.You can only be knocked down so many times before you don't get up!
