For those who enjoy a mix of animal crossing and stardew valley, this is a wonderful new twist on cozy gaming. The shop aspect of it is something i haven't personally seen in a game before and its very fun and unique and rewarding. The graphics are adorable and stunning and I love the animations and expressions on each of the NPC paleofolk. It's obvious a lot of time and care was put into each of them. Resource gathering and getting around is very easy and there's always something to work on and unlock.

That being said, I do agree with a lot of others that it is buggy. I got soft locked on my first save when I chose a new item to craft for the first time and didn't have enough material to make it. I wasn't allowed to leave the shop so I had to create a new save. Luckily, it was only 15-20 minutes into the game, but still. I also don't understand the tipping. I'm often disappointed when I don't make as much because the big tips aren't counted.

This game has a lot of potential and room to grow and changes to be made and I adore it enough to hold out and continue. I can't wait to play more and more every day :)

very interesting and ingenious combination of game styles. replayability makes for dozens to hundreds of hours of enjoyable gameplay. diverse cast of well designed characters, both in terms of art and how you play them. no one character is bad, you may just make a mishap on who you pair together. excellent soundtrack and sound design. play this game!!!! goes on sale very often for a very good price of $2-3. big thumbs up

ok so the player base is kind of dead. i've only played in the dead of night recently (whereas i used to play in the middle of the day a few years ago) and usually there be up to 5-8 players online, which i think is impressive. but, it doesn't beat the good ol days where id come home, get on, and run around with groups of 10 or so for hours.

good game for those who are into collecting, like myself. you work to collect animals, flowers, plants, crystals, skins, emotes, noises, etc. its very satisfying once youve earned something new or you see an achievement notification pop up from steam.

in general, it is a nice game with graphics that match the tone of the game. with quilt-like textures and music and sound effects that are pleasing to the ears, it makes for quite the relaxing time! the way you wordlessly travel with multiple people and feel like friends for the short time you travel together, it is also very wholesome.

so with that, i would recommend the game, especially for the price that it goes for. i just wish this game still had the player base that it did and that the devs will return to it someday.

while the community can be quite toxic and there are many frustrating bugs to come by, this is a great game. BHVR are an extremely thoughtful and creative team and aims to ease those frustrations and welcome a kind and inclusive community as much as possible. that aside, this game truly offers a great horror experience that doesn't feel forced or cheesy and it is extremely based on how you and others play - YOU create the horror experience. the number of play styles to choose from causes a stream of enjoyment for hours on end. ive heard many criticisms of how this game can also be quite repetitive and while i agree, it also completely depends on how you choose to play. this game is currently my favorite and is great for game nights and i highly recommend it, just stay safe when talking with others online and remember to be kind and a good sport.

I like this game a lot because it is very relaxing! I find myself playing this game hours at a time, trying to figure out what's best for my tribe and trying to get in the genes I want, and trying to abide by challenge rules. There's so much to do if you put your mind to it and so much to keep track of and it really makes your brain work aside by an enjoyable and charming game with adorable creatures and beautiful graphics and challenging obstacles.
