Good:
- As challenging, and often times awkward, the movement can be, it's fun to control once mastered.
- Momentum feels REALLY good, shows it can be done right and done well. Also really impressive of doing so in a more compact space of level design.
- Majority of levels are often set apart between each other and don't get all too stale, while offering a similar theme of obstacles throughout each world.
- Characters and world designs have a lot of personality, really sets it's own identity with it also feeling like a Gamecube/Dreamcast kind of game.
The aesthetic of other game elements is so charming. The subtle blue when it fades out, the level introductions, menus and ui's ooze out charm.
- Soundtrack is fantastic.
- The hidden tokens are fun to get, like Star Coins or Red Rings.

Meh:
- The coins being only used for power-ups to prevent deaths or increase the score at the end is a bit dissapointing. Wish it could be used for skins. Although, in terms of getting a better score, can be helpful.
- Although playing as Penny with the Yo-Yo is fun, sections that involve not using it as much feels clunky. Wish Penny's basic moves felt just a tad more fast or snappy instead of floaty.
- Despite the game having a lot of great level design, felt like it gradually fell off more near the end, to the point of frustration. Few instances of obstacles or paths being out of screen until it's already too late.
- The Side Quests in levels can be fun, however ones that are timed suck, and ones that involve keeping up a combo really suck. Not world ending, but wish some were redesigned a bit, if not outright removing timed aspects to some quests.
- Boss fights are very hit or miss, good ideas though.

Bad:
- Cutscenes vary wildly in polish. The drawn cutscenes are great, but they can feel rushed with the storytelling and goes by too quickly without letting the characters making an impact. 3D cutscenes take a while to get through with little happening on screen, tends to be dragged on for much longer than it needs to be.
- Glitches galore with the amount of times it's possible to get out of bounds. Especially in levels that involve riding on the Yo-Yo, or going fast in tight geometry, it can be frustrating.

Overall, Penny's Big Breakaway is a well-made 3D, Collectathon/Speedy/Precision Based Platformer that, although could've used some more time in the oven to work out some issues and polish up frustrating points of the game, it's still a good time to playthrough it all, and I hope to potentially see more of Penny in her next Breakaway. Hopefully, not breaking out of bounds at least.

Easy to pickup and hard to put down kind of Rogue-Likes. The game where you say it's "one more," only for 3 hours to pass from a god-like run you just got.
