MY TIME

They say ours is the "Entitled Generation."

The me-first, first-to-quit, still-in-bed-at-10 generation.

Thin-skinned.

Thick-headed.

We've got no mettle because we expect a medal just for showing up.

It's not my place to say they're wrong.

It's my time.

My time to do my part for the country that's part of me.

To prove I can hold my own to protect my own.

This time it's my time because this land is my land—the land that I love.

And I'm going to make my time count.

To take my place among those our country will count on.
