앞서 해보기 평가
Not worth it (right now)

When it's polished it will definitely be worth a purchase, but right now it's so buggy and unbalanced it's borderline unplayable.

Update following more playtime:

Still not recommended, although they seem to be putting in lots of work to make the game better with frequent updates. It's becoming more playable.

Good game. I'd recommend it. A few slightly annoying things, bugs which can be ironed out over time. (e.g can't put log sleds on cranes etc) other than that I would say this game is very fun, not just as a horror survival game, but basing and defence mechanics play out very well.

Rome II was the first game in the Total War franchise which I really got into. Despite all the negative reviews I really have enjoyed this game, more than all the other Total War's I've played (Attila, Shogun 2, Warhammer 2, Thrones of Brittania), although I enjoy Warhammer 2 nearly as much as Rome II.

The art style of this game is very attractive and warm. In sharp contrast with the depressive tone of games like Attila, Rome II appears far more welcoming and much less gritty.

The only pitfall of the game which I have encountered is the naval combat, which is the worst out of all the Total War's i have played, with unresponsive units, and general unbalance. (Also with the increases in difficulty the game seems to rely on spamming units at you, rather than actually making tactical moves, but it appears the same is true throughout Total War games)

All in all, I enjoy the game, and would recommend it.

(Sorry if this review is not the greatest, I'm just doing it for the summer grand prix thingy :D)
