Volvo pls fix bots #FixTF2

A lovingly made old school shooter like no other. Custom built engine, plays really smooth and contains plenty of Czechoslovak references. Three episodes total, each pretty creative with challenging levels; the only downside that I need more!

The game has an amazing vibe to it, kept me on my toes the whole way through. No cheap jumpscares or monster chases, just the atmoshere alone. Taking pictures of the various points of interest was a good way to have a purpose to wandering around. Also I really like the simple-graphics-yet-high-quality-effects art style the game utilises, and the simple yet fun possibililty to interact with most objects.

I'll definitively give the game another go.

Clearly needs a bit more work, but as is its already plenty of fun.

Can be fun, especially with friends.

While the current updates seem to piss many people off (rightfully so) the game is still a good game. It is by far my most favourite GTA game, I love the atmosphere of the city, the story, the radio stations, the characters and vehicles and much more. Sure it doesnt give you as many options as GTA SA or GTA V, but looking through I guess my nostalgia glasses its still a gem. And I am not talking about the graphics they havent aged well, but through some timecyc mods like RealityIV you can easily bring up the looks without any ENB or difficult installation. Rockstar is however doing their best to absolutely wreck this game, they are removing songs, making mods incompatible and creating new technical difficulties without properly fixing the older notorious ones. I just hope the game gets through the Rockstar meddling in a repairable shape, as there is nothing modders cant do. I at this moment am able to run the game with good graphics, no techical difficulties, fixed Rotterdam tower lights and working First Person script. It does require some work to get the game to run right, but I am still recommending this game for what it is.

Již dlouhé roky jsem čekal než něco takového vyjde. Kombinace ekonomiky a transportu zboží s detailním stavitelem měst. Velká mapa, s Workshopem možné vytvářet nové. Spousta dobových vozidel od 50' do 90' let z východního i některá ze západního bloku. Spousta různých budov a věcí na které dávat pozor. Možnost přidávat nová vozidla a skiny na vozidla z Workshopu. Spousta různých odvětví od těžby a zemědělství až po pokročilé strojírenství. Skvělá komunita poslouchání návrhů hráčů na oficiálním Discordu. Oku lahodící grafika. Hra je stále v předběžném přístupu, po prvním zapnutí nejspíš trochu složitá a matoucí, ale stojí to za to. Rozhodně doporučuji.

I actually played DoD:Source before this and I found that game pretty good. I was playing it all the time and even the fact that there was only few active servers didn't stop me from doing so. Then I found this game. The first Day of Defeat. I've read some reviews, watched some videos and I liked it. I bought it when it was on sale and I don't regret it. Game is pretty good, a lot of fun. GoldSource engine is never old enough for me. I haven't played much of it yet but I am sure that this is a masterpiece. Just like in Source version there are just few dedicated servers for this. But still, I am able to find servers with a lot of players and have a lot of fun. But be aware, you will meet some really good players. And by that I mean "headshot from other side of the map right after leaving your spawn". But I have met like one or two players that good so it might not be so common. But still, they exist and they are annoying. Anyway, the game is a lot of fun and I would say better then source. Not graphicaly but from gameplay perspective definitely. I recommend this game 10/10

I've played nearly 700 hours of the game this one has just replaced. I joined in at the time you still had to purchase access and I have accumulated many good memories with both my friends and randos alike. I was invited to join the CSS2 beta test and I tried to grasp the opportunity with an open mind, but I was still, however, disappointed. For such slight visual improvements, the performance hit is simply unbearable... not to mention the "improvements" didn't really match my tastes most of the time. Suddenly, all the maps appear as if they've recently been bleached clean, nothing seems as crisp and natural as it did in old Source...

While at my time you'd just say to the people complaining about a sequel to just "play the old game", Valve made sure to render this option impossible, nobody can go back to playing a game they actually enjoyed, as they've been locked in a deal with the devil. I suppose my Counter-Strike days are over, glad I could enjoy the game's last breaths with my friends in the recent months, next time I'd probably have to stick with playing the even older CSS or CS 1.6...
