Dark Souls taught me some things, for one, it taught me how one should approach and in a sense play video games in general. But not only that, it may sound ridiculous, but this game's world, and its story even taught me some really important lessons on life itself.

But, I want to express something quite a bit personal here. I know this is honestly extremely sad and excruciatingly pathetic... but my first playthrough of the video game Dark Souls is genuinely, sincerely, without any sort of exaggeration even in the slightest, this one game, this one extraordinary piece of art, my journey through the dark and hollowing world of Lordran, is the single most fulfilling and utterly complete enjoyable experience that I have ever had in the entirety of my life.

But even tho, at the end of the day, Dark Souls is just a video game. It's a fictional world. It doesn't really have any direct impact on one's physical life. But even tho that is the fact of the matter, I still am from the deepest bottom of my heart, forever eternally grateful, to the man Hidetaka Miyazaki and every single one of the individuals at FromSoftware for having created this utter monument of digital art, that brought me an adventure that made me feel emotions in this life I was convinced that I would probably never get to live to experience at all. And because of that, I can only do nothing but in absolute truth greatfully treasure all of the time that I spent playing this one video game.

I have played a lot of games in my life and a very select few have been what you could call a masterpiece, but even tho I got to explore this game pretty late on my life's long journey with playing video games, and it took a few attempts to actually find the fervorous demanding commitment needed to actually finish the game, I without hesitation, genuinely believe that Dark Souls is objectively, one of the absolute greatest, and personally I would even arguably say...
The greatest video game that has ever been created.

Dark Souls is, in the complete sense of the words' definition, a true, genuine masterpiece.
