Since I had played the original Hades, I went from radically hating Rogue-likes to being absolutely in love with them

This is like if you made Hades even better and also put lesbians in it which is awesome

A lot of gooners who've logged more hours on gelbooru than they have in-game are pissy about some censorship. After looking into it, the censorship seemed needed, especially for a game in 2023 with sponsorships. If the creator wants to do this with their work, so be it, you can find all the original art online if you really need to give a wank to drawings.

This game is great, and has an excellent soundtrack, gameplay, and a lot of amazing voice talent. While I may not be as good at fighting games as my friends, I always love playing this with them.

Still as good as you remember it! As long as you don't expect constant online play.
It's only 10 dollars right now, so if you really wanna get into a game with some people, try and get some friends to pick this up too!
The servers luckily aren't being constantly monitored by EA/Popcap, so screw microtransactions and just use Cheat Engine to give you the coins you're looking for! Plus with mods you can play matches as the bosses which is cool as heck.

I'm not normally one to make reviews, but even with the small amount of time I have put in this game I feel as though I need to make a review on this. I am 100% not a fan of the roguelike genre. Not that I hate it or anything, it's just that I'm not a fan of constantly having to restart without making any progress in my overall playthrough, and I've always kind of felt discouraged from continuing in other games. However, Hades is different.

This game doesn't punish you for dying and having to restart, in fact it rewards you, and I'm not even entirely sure you can beat the game without having to die once (I'm sure someone could probably prove me wrong considering the fact I'm not great at beating games) since you learn more story and features to help you in escaping the Underworld after dying and being sent back to your home. There are tons of collectables that help you increase your stats, and give you other perks, at a pretty steady pace so you don't feel as though you're not making any impact, while also not making it seem like you barely have to work for it. The voice acting and music are also amazing, but that's not surprising coming from Supergiant.

Basically, this game is the perfect game for both roguelike fans and non fans. It's super fun and has a very interesting and compelling story and I 100% recommend you try it out if you have $25 to buy something worthwhile.

I honestly spent way to much time on this game than I should have. The whole concept of this was for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles with friends (It's a game about Ducks with guns what the hell did you expect). If you like 16 bit graphics with BLAST PROCESSING AUDIO like the original Sonic trilogy then you'll love the aesthetics.
