To anyone that knows me, I don't apologize. I keep things compartmentalized between the internet and real life because the internet is not real life.

Voting with your wallet does not matter when the whale with disposable income or the uninformed casual decides to vote on what they think is necessary for a game, like DLC or Lootboxes. You can't fight against the market, you can only work with it or burn it down entirely.

danganronpa S: ultimate summer camp is awful, you play as Michael DeSanta, Rockstar's jab at Vice City fans and 80s enthusiasts as Shuichi Saihara uses truth bullets to shoot away fujoshis who pair him with Kaito or Kokichi. You play as the #11037th gamer, incel, and hentai reviewer to have ever gamered. Hussle hussle hussle.

I'm not going along with this running joke of mine this time. Not after the absolute hurt and disappointment I got from this kusoge. I'm not upset or angry, just disappointed and heartbroken at what could have been a continuing video game franchise. I love each entry, albeit a little less for Dead Rising Three. I still love that game, but it's not as arcadey or challenging or refined as Dead Rising One or Two and its spinoff.

But putting myself through the paces of that awful twenty-nine minutes for a tutorial and story? I realized that Capcom Vancouver earned the gracious punishment of being shut down.

I've tolerated the quality of life changes, weapon & item balancing, and flanderization of the story and themes of Dead Rising One. I appreciated what Capcom Vancouver did, while under the supervision of Keiji Inafune. They made what was the "Rambo: First Blood Part II" to Dead Rising One's "First Blood". Dead Rising Off the Record was a treat for fans like me, who wanted both the changes of Two and the character of Frank West. Moreso if you've only played it on the PC so far, as Case Zero and West are exclusive to consoles.

This was billed as a return to form for Dead Rising fans. Meaning Dead Rising One and Two fans. This series has been out since August of 2006. Nearly ten years when the game was released in June 2016. The work and blueprint for Capcom Vancouver for their return to Dead Rising's roots were laid bare.

This kusoge isn't a Dead Rising game.

This isn't challenging or makes you think differently in regards to moving around on foot, with a vehicle, or with a skateboard and quickstep in hand.
It doesn't hold you accountable to the fact that time is ticking down as you rescue and coral survivors to the safe room; pursue after side scoops; or explore your surroundings.
There's no weapon and item placement that's arcadey but presented realistically.
It doesn't let you throw melee weapons.
It doesn't challenge you with a timer ala Crazy Taxi.
It dedicates a total of twelve slots for ranged weapons, melee weapons, and thrown objects. You start off with two slots for healing items.
It lets Michael pocket large items he's had to two-hand before, like chairs.
It continues with the RPG-like "pick and choose" point system from DR3.
You can hipfire like it's GTAV.

It just condescends to you, like you're wholeheartedly unaware of the limp-wristed, "ironic" Westernized bastardization that's occurring before you.

I was hesitant to call out the laziness and lack of passion or inspiration in Dead Rising Three. I went so far as to claim that the devs made what they wanted in 2014, much like Saint's Row IV. But unlike gracefully accepting that the shark was jumped, Capcom Vancouver posed to take a step back while really moving forward to disastisfy both mainstream audiences and series fans. I can't shake that sinking feeling that pandering to the "no more timer and survivor escort" crowd was a genuine mistake.

They couldn't figure out that the timeless staying power of a game like Dead Rising One, Two, and Off the Record was in its carrot and stick approach to gameplay and story design.

If you don't care for the story, then you can take off the "stick" that is pursuing after main story scoops. You don't have to pursue after Ending S or A. If you were interested, you could continue after the "carrot" while keeping the stick to your back. Occasionally the "carrot" would lower itself to let you enjoy it. That "carrot" was the few hours of downtime between scoops.

Of course, there were side scoops and survivors that you could choose to pursue during your downtime. Yes, it's frustrating to ignore or not 100% the game in a run, but it's not the end of the world. Dead Rising One, Two, and Off the Record incentivized rescuing survivors and completing scoops, but you would get by just fine if you ignored them. Furthermore, the game incentivized multiple playthroughs. It celebrated having knowledge of the map and the routes that you were taking through the Wilamette mall and Fortune City with caches of rare or uncommon items. It gave you multiple save slots to work with.

Those games respected your choices and circumstances. It didn't promote 100%ing it from the start, it only offered a chance and challenge at it.

Other than the sleep inducing and infantile game design and feel, the writing and the tone were the worst offenders here. Multiple quips about minigolf; multiple jokes about Michael DeSanta being a sociopath that's seeing a therapist. Absolute arrogance from both Vick and Michael. And no respect for the situation that Michael finds himself in.

He's wracked with PTSD about Wilamette in 2006, and feeling guilty over his ego trip as his career as a photojournalist degraded. But there's no time or moment from Brad or Vick, or himself for that matter, to hold him by the shoulders and think introspectively. Question why he's acting this way. We only get as much as a jab or a quip back from Vick. She's also a intrepid photojournalist, but she's a student (and soft love interest despite Michael having more power over her as her photojournalism professor Frank "Hassle" East) under Michael's instruction, which should mean a conflict between the empathetic, impassioned and optimistic Vick and the cynical, scarred, and jaded Michael.

But there's nothing, we just have two clowns outside of their makeup being A(lfa)S(ierra)S(ierra)-holes to each other. Just Michael quipping about minigolf as he's killing people who are also just as clownishly evil as the Big Berry Circus run by IT.

Dead Rising 4 should've been on a cruise ship or in an international airport, and handled by Keiji Inafune again.

...

I'm glad that Capcom Vancouver are six feet under now. Joe Nickrolls? Eduardo Agostini? David McAnerin? Peter Sobczak? The rest of those names as listed on the wikipedia article? I hope they never find work, not for their 401k, but because they're homeless and absolutely caustic to work with.

How could Vancouver lack the communication skills needed with Capcom in order to ask about what they wanted out of each other?

A DARK SOULS INSPIRED ENTRY TO DEAD RISING?
A GAME INSPIRED BY THE LAST OF US WITHOUT CAPCOM'S INPUT?
THE ABSOLUTELY SOUL SUCKING SERIOUSNESS OF THREE WITH FOUR'S IRONY WERE THE AFFIRMATION THAT I NEEDED WHEN REVELLING IN THE SHUTTING DOWN OF CAPCOM VANCOUVER. I DON'T CARE FOR THE LITTLE PEOPLE OR YOUR FRIEND OF FRIENDS IN THAT COMPANY. THEY WERE ALL COMPLICIT IN RUINING A PERFECTLY GOOD FRANCHISE.

THE EXPECTATION WAS SIMPLE. QUALITY DEAD RISING GAMES WITH INAFUNE INSPIRED DESIGN AND WRITING. IF NOT GAMES THAT WERE HONESTLY FOLLOWING DEAD RISING 3 IN TONE.

NOT THIS HACK DRIVEL THAT'S SO EASY, A CRIPPLED AND BLIND CRACK BABY COULD SPEEDRUN IT W/R. IT CAN'T HAVE BEEN THAT HARD TO WORK WITH A FRANCHISE AS YOUNG AS DEAD RISING.

THE ABSOLUTE ARROGANCE OF THESE CANADIANS, I'LL MAKE SURE TO PRAY EXTRA HARD TO EACH AND EVERY ABRAHAMIC RELIGION THAT WILDFIRE SEASON OCCURS AS ANGRY NATIVE AMERICANS, POLAR BEARS, VIKINGS, AND CLIMATE CHANGE RECLAIM THEIR LAND.

I HOPE EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT EVER WORKED ON THIS GAME PERISHES OF NATURAL CAUSES AND GET RECORDED AS A UNVACCINATED SARS-CoV-2 CASUALTY.

Don't even get the Fitgirl repack of this game.

also suck my Alfa Sierra Sierra @Dr Brule, you have objectively the Sierra Hotel India Tango IEST taste and standards for games and I reviewed an NTR, incest visual novel that had a lot of internal urination. You are the absolute cancer that's snuffing out the bare minimum of quality and challenging content from AAA games.

I'm a big fan of Overwatch smut since the day it released back in the halcyon days of 2016. And I'm a big fan of Westerns, so I'm a big fan of McCree too.

I've followed cosplays. I've followed fan animations. Read fanfictions. I can finally play the game.

All of those hours watching Overwatch's female heroes - Dva, Mei, Mercy, Widowmaker, and more - getting obliterated every which way possible was worth it. Seeing every fluid simulation, every pixel and polygon of sweat, just to make the Hydnora Africana for each animation and Blender render was worth it. The years since then have paid off for this moment, where I finally play the game and leave in about an hour's time because of horrendous rubberbanding. I won't forget the manhours I put in just waiting for each and every update on smut's evolution thanks to Overwatch and Blizzard.

Hey, I've got a door-kickers 2 guide in progress, for the new unit, I sorta based the structure off your CIA guide as I found it worked very well and is easy to under stand, Is it alright if I post it with credit to you?

Thanks for your comment on my profile. I gotta dilate right now, it's real sketchy right down there. I can only recommend it.
